Can’t believe it but its happened again. The venue said we’re not allowed to play tonight due to bad plumbing,as u can see from the pic toilet water flooded into the pit area & it would be unsafe to continue. Absolutely gutted Birmingham we’re working on a rescheduled date ASAP x

@AnneEstellaRock For a lot of stations, all they really give a fuck about are viewing figures, but they bill themselves as "supporting emerging artists". In reality, these "emerging artists" have already emerged, and the stations are just joining a gravy train while it's still hot.

When a TV station tells me that Amped isn’t right for them because the bands aren’t well known enough, that’s kinda missing the point in every possible way…

@Anthony_C @emmabwilkes People aren't incarcerated for having differing political views or getting sentenced to death for being gay (although homophobic hate crime has suddenly skyrocketed in the last year), but the hold of the right-wing media on this country's social attitude is monstrous.

@Anthony_C @emmabwilkes There are many shades of grey, yes. But just because a sewage system is less deadly than a nuclear power plant doesn't mean shit doesn't smell. The UK might well be more progressive than some parts of the world, but there's still a severe, aggressively right-wing undertone.

@Anthony_C @emmabwilkes I understand your point, but there's debating the use of pronouns and then there's making those who prefer a different pronoun to their assigned gender feel persecuted and unsafe. And I'm quite sure bigotry is everywhere, but it's particularly profound in Britain currently.

@thoserawkusredz @emmabwilkes Travel a bit, then you will find out how bigoted people can really be. Arguments over pronouns are actually evidence of healthy debate and tolerance.
