@RogerProtzBeer Very sad, Geoff and Bruce were instrumental in helping us get the initial Walsall beer festival flying back in 1984, including brewing a special Festival beer which I had the honour of helping to bottle and label, I still have bottle number 1 to this day, RIP Geoff😢

Just heard the very sad news that Geoff Mumford, co-founder of pioneering Burton Bridge Brewery, has passed away. A great brewer of wonderful beers, the best, brilliant sense of humour. Obit to follow. RIP Geoff.,

@thoth1742 @BurtonMailNews I also hope not. Although very surprised they’ve chosen to sack off the website instead of the paper. They have no dedicated Burton Mail reporters anymore so they fill the paper with a few local press releases, and Derbyshire and Staffordshire-wide stories.
