@uncleFredsTweet They also stand up to US imperialism in their own struggles
English

@uncleFredsTweet They back anti-imperialist struggles Hamas, Hezbollah, Houthis, etc
English

@thoughtographic Hey professor, have you done class analysis to reach this conclusion or this is just a teaser till the book comes out?
English

@MHinge62289 @ThatTFgal84 India and Brazil export more capital than Russia. Russia is a semiperipheral state they export mainly minerals and oil.
Russia despite their moralistic intention gives support to exploited classes fighting imperialism all around the world.
Those are the facts no moral judgment
English

@thoughtographic @ThatTFgal84 Neither did I yet you called me moralist, I explained why I find your framing more moralistic, I never claimed u said Russia was an ultimate good. They are an imperial force weaking the USA's larger imperialist ties is my point, the reason is the important aspect. Class interest.
English

@MHinge62289 @ThatTFgal84 I never said Russia is good or bad. But on the world stage currently they act as an anti imperialist force. All current socialist countries stand with or even ally with Russia.
English

@thoughtographic @ThatTFgal84 It's not moralism to point out why things are done cause it reveals the class interests, I am not interested in morality I am interested in the functional understanding. It is moralist to claim something is benevolent because it caused a good outcome however.
English

@MHinge62289 @ThatTFgal84 I feel like you’re taking a moralistic approach here should Hamas and Hezbollah refused to buy Russian weapons because Russia bad?
English

@thoughtographic @ThatTFgal84 The reasons and material gains is the literal point, to only look at it as "good thing happened so they are good" is moralistic in nature.
I wasn't gonna engage more but felt like this shows how much you miss my point so had to say it.

@MHinge62289 @ThatTFgal84 The thing about the US, it’s a settler colonial state that’s in the very imperial core. I’m not sure how a Revolution would happen here.
A civil war and a balkanization is likely on my view. Which maybe for the best on a global scale.
English

@MHinge62289 @ThatTFgal84 The Chinese Revolution was 76 years ago. Around the span lifespan as the USSR. So considering I think they accomplished a lot, also taking into account their size.
I still believe in the cuban people. They are strong despite what’s happened to them recently.
English

@MHinge62289 @ThatTFgal84 I’m just curious. Do you think the USSR was socialist? The DPRK? Cuba?
English

@faszon1 @VibeChe27760801 @ThatTFgal84 Russia and China are the third reich? You honestly think that?
English

@MHinge62289 @ThatTFgal84 They may have only done so to counter US/western influence but the reasons don’t really matter to the material gains for that country/movement.
English

@MHinge62289 @ThatTFgal84 When the Donetsk and Lugansk People's Republics, declared independence from Ukraine, and faced massive bombardment and invasion from Kiev's forces with NATO backing, Russia joined the war on the side of the DPR/LPR.
English

@_Spoti You all need some dialectical materialism to snap you outta that mess.
