🛂🇹🇭 Thailand’s Cabinet has approved revisions to the 60-day visa exemption scheme, pending Royal Gazette publication. 👉 Travellers planning a trip to Amazing Thailand can stay updated on the latest entry information by reading our press release: tatnews.org/2026/05/thai-c… #Thailand #TATNews #ThaiTravelNews #AmazingThailand #ThailandVisa #VisaExemption #TravelNews #ThailandTravel

Thailand has reduced the visa exemption period for Maldivian travelers from 60 days to 15 days. The change takes effect 15 days after publication in the Royal Gazette. This could affect many Maldivians who travel to Thailand for medical treatment. @MDVinThailand

We have to agree that there are too many gaps in the official narrative, but there is as much speculation and conjecture from local as well international media and experts. Narratives from many media are not corroborated. Let’s think a bit ahead. What should be the reason for a proper investigation? Should it be punitive or corrective? I think we cld focus more on the latter. Corrective in the sense, the results of this investigation should be more focused on not repeating the same mistakes, learning what should be improved and upgraded, added or even omitted. I see that we need good gear and training. We may need good coordination and good non-central self regulatory bodies as well. For a nation that may have dive centers exceeding 200 we shld have a self regulated association or body which ensures safety, certification, and even SAR! I would like to see more collaboration between the military or navy divers and civilian bodies.

I'm just hearing that a lot of political pressure was on the MNDF divers...its just unbelievable how these fucking politicians push everything. I sincerely hope we find who ordered them to risk their lives to recover bodies.

I call upon the industry and regulator to make it mandatory for diving service providers to go for ISO 45001 certification. This is to ensure a proven check and balance mechanism and get the industry assured by global certification bodies @MoTmv @ameen3d

What exactly do you mean by “people like you”? I knew her personally yet I chose not to post a single tweet about it, not even to share the news of her passing, because I understand the responsibility that comes with such situations. I will repeat what I have told others over the past few hours, when a mistake is made, compounding it with further missteps only makes things worse. It’s far better to acknowledge it, take responsibility, and correct it. Please refer to the World Health Organization’s quick reference guide on responsible reporting of suicide.
