I'm Canadian. My ancestors were French Canadians. I can trace my lineage back to 1664. They both left from port La Rochelle, France, for New France (now Quebec). They built it from scratch. And now stupid Indians show up here and think they own the place? Not only does the government help them, it finances them. Law enforcement lets them bring their laws onto our land? How much more will it take before we start organizing politically?

Well today is my birthday. I am officially 60. Not sure what to think about that. Most people my age are empty nesters.. I have a 13 yr old. She keeps me young and is actually a really good human. Hubby got me a mushy card and wrote stuff in it. I cried. He is not the romantic type. It's also a good thing because he was weed eating and broke the glass out of my kitchen door today. We also had a dead tree come down on a pig hut and fence line. 😕 My daughter just told me old isn't until 65. 😆 I hope everyone has had a great day!! ❤️

Well, I’ll be that kid in my family, though I only have one sister. My parents bought a vacation home when I was an adult at my sister’s request. I live 9 hours away & hardly ever get there and it’s not really my sort of thing anyway. My parents & my sister enjoy it so I’m glad they’re happy and make use of it. But I have zero desire to keep & maintain it with my own money once they’ve passed. And I think that’s valid. I’m frugal and pragmatic and I have three kids I’d love to set up for their own lives. I’ll be more than fair with my sister and she can decide whether to buy me out or sell together.

Sometimes the point we’re trying to make ends up teaching us the real lesson instead! Could YOU tell the difference between tap and fancy bottled water in a blind test? @threshhold108 @WomanDefiner Yep. Boomers and GenX quite frankly may have created some of the most dysfunctional family dynamics in human history. Quite frankly, the romanticized modern nuclear family in the West is not ideal. The primary reason the rich get richer is multi-generational families.
