little bit of @re_generates lore when deciding on our ethos, i landed on bringing back how we feel about art/ artists. this space moves fast, mint, flip, next. i thought why not bring back collecting? let’s get some dope artists/ homies together to do some 1:1s. just like a mixtape, you get featured, and cross pollination of “fans” occurs. in the case of web3, bringing together various dope communities. also wanted to make sure they got some type of payment, i put out a google form to collect the artists addresses to pay them for their art. .1 eth to all artists that filled it out. in hindsight, should have done more to make sure they received royalties from some HUGE 1:1 sales, but again, everything happened so fast. almost all other funds from mint went back into sweeping the floor, getting a website set up, and other dev expenses. any thing i made from the mint just went to my personal re:gang collection. the re:gang way was born through celebration of art/ artists. for the homies, by the homies.
