If - and it's a huge IF - the SNP are on the end of a very poor return tonight, I don't think this will be quite victory that Starmer, Sarwar et al believe here in #Scotland. Why? Because it may well be as pyrrhic as Major's "grey" win in 1992. I suspect that it would prove to #Scotland, once and for all, that no matter the hue of Westminster Govt, Scotland's wishes are ignored at every turn. E.g. no return to the EU, WMD, arms sales to Israel to continue the destruction of Gaza, ongoing austerity, 2-child cap, more poverty, energy rip-offs and less opportunity for all +++. The consequence? A huge surge in support for Independence - and a need for something to happen on that regardless of Starmer et al's wishes. #Scotland will be independent - it really is just a question of when. 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿🇪🇺🇺🇳
