@tetrisgm @carygolomb @mooreslawisdead @serkantoto These and the Xbox Helix are all niche devices with no appreciable market outside of the cult. Much like how the deck market is niche-interesting but not transformative, Steam Machine has all the hallmarks of a device whose install base will never top a couple-million.

I feel like analysts are not thinking like execs here. This is the wrong lens to understand why it’s a brilliant move.
PS5, SW2, XSX prices went up. Steam console can be expensive too.
It won’t topple those consoles, but can it consolidate the PC market by freezing specs.

It’s a pretty bold show.
They kept it in the 900 year time skip, rebuilding the Federation, handling politics post Burn.
It *is* a teen/YA targeted show, but it’s surprisingly competent on all fronts.

This new UK smoking ban law is the dumbest law I've seen in a long time. It seems likely to:
- Making smoking cool again
- Drive a massive illegal trade
- Encourage a lot of tourism to Ireland
- Lose some of the younger vote for Labour
