#AtkrieviskoLatviju

The EU was built so that no single power could dominate Europe again. The unanimity veto in foreign policy achieves the opposite, it lets one captured government hold 450 million people hostage. The treaties have the tools to fix this. Use them. What is missing is the will and leadership.

Hungary’s Viktor Orbán has faced “very, very harsh” criticism at the European Council, Sweden’s PM Ulf Kristersson said. It’s a level of condemnation he says he has never heard at an EU summit before. Follow our live blog: #id_1322213" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">politico.eu/article/make-o…

This is American defector to Russia John Mark Dougan with Aleksandr Dugin's daughter Daria promoting the Kremlin line of multipolarity. Dougan receives taskings from the Center for Geopolitical Expertise (CGE) which was established by Dugin and is now run by his long-time lieutenant Valery Korovin. Working with Korovin at the CGE is an officer of Russia's Military Intelligence unit 29155, the same unit that is suspected of using the weapons associated with Havana Syndrome. Dougan's CopyCop network is linked to storm-1516 information operations that have successfully been amplified by large accounts on X. Storm-1516 works to weaken western support for Ukraine. In Dugin's Foundation of Geopolitics, the plan was for Russia to take Ukraine back and CGE and Dougan assist in that objective.

Russian "opposition leaders" claim it's hard psychologically and morally for Russians to kill Ukrainians. Well, they're either blindsided or acting on orders from Kremlin. This genocidal war supported by 70% of Russians, if not more.

Europe is so corrupt, stupid, and incompetent that they've appointed a Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs employee/hooker as an OSCE official to certify the legitimacy of the Hungarian election that Orban is about to steal.

"China today stands as a formidable military and economic competitor to the United States," said Thomas Friedman. These are determined people. With a population of 1.3 billion focused intently on economic growth and military advancement, the notion that we can confront them alone is completely unrealistic.

The real problem is nitrogen-based fertilizers, which are, as a rule, derived from oil-based naphtha or natural gas. Currently, Qatar takes natural gas produced at its South Pars gas field, which was recently struck by Iran, to make ammonia and convert it into urea. Urea is a natural gas-based fertilizer made primarily of nitrogen that you can spread in physical form, whether pellets or ground powder. This one facility in Qatar is responsible for about 11% of global urea production, the primary method that people use to apply nitrogen. Collectively, the Persian Gulf is responsible for between 30 and 35% of global ammonia production. And all of that has now gone to zero. Now, of the three primary fertilizer nutrients (nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium), nitrogen is the one I am least concerned with in the short term, because it can be derived from either natural gas itself or oil. Here in the United States, we are a net oil exporter, have scads of natural gas, and can produce pretty much all the nitrogen we need. But now, due to recent attacks on Persian Gulf infrastructure, a large majority of the globe cannot do the same. In the short term - in the U.S. - we're likely to avoid massive shortages of nitrogen-based fertilizers. Yes, prices will rise, but we won't have actual shortages. But if you fast forward one, two, three, ten, or twenty years, the rest of the world will be in chronic nitrogen deficit. That's before you consider shortages of the other materials that are likely to manifest in the years to come. So, prepare for an environment where global food production stalls...and then crashes. #agriculture #farming #fertilizer #geopolitics

this sort of thing was profound at a time when people read Goethe or Rilke. ‘we know that a man can read Malcolm Gladwell or like ‘the Goldfinch’ by Donna Tart in the evening, and kill schoolchildren with drones at work in the morning’ — doesn’t sound as profound now does it

Ben Goertzel says proto-AGI may be more dangerous than full AGI. Systems smart enough to run weapons, surveillance, and strategy but without real understanding or wisdom. That creates superhuman war capability directed by flawed humans. Full AGI might make better decisions than that.

Krievi spriež, ka viņu ļaunākais murgs tuvojas: drīz Ukraina līdzīgi kā dronus masveidā izmantos robotus, cilvēku vietā. Un tad pazudīs pēdējais krievu trumpis - masa. Un ko tad krievu cilvēkam atliks darīt?

A 2023 investigation by Paper Trail Media, DER SPIEGEL, ZDF and Der Standard showed how the Kremlin is infiltrating OSCE and sabotaging its work, detailing – among others, and without naming her – Boyarskaya’s case. Poland’s Internal Security Agency (ABW) sanctioned Boyarskaya in November 2022, designating her an undesirable person. “Her activities to date unambiguously position D. Boyarskaya as a supporter of Vladimir Putin’s regime, which — in light of Russia’s military actions in Ukraine and the hybrid war being waged against the Republic of Poland — creates a serious risk of provocation or the incitement of incidents detrimental to Poland’s international standing,” Poland’s interior ministry explains. In February 2023, Boyarskaya was detained attempting to cross the Lithuanian-Russian border. More in the German-Austrian investigation: spiegel.de/international/…
