FORTNITE BAN WAVE INFO:
An "inactive" ban wave affecting thousands of accounts is currently ongoing.
Epic Games has issued "inactive" bans to Epic accounts that have used a specific command available on discord bots. Many popular discord bots have this feature.
This command was used to check online status but was recently changed and it started sending "join" requests. This was used to spam players and streamers and so Epic decided to ban anyone that used this command within the past month or so.
Inactive Ban Info:
Inactive Bans completely brick your account and are some of the worst bans you can get. You cannot login to Epic to do anything as your account becomes "inactive", these bans are also permanent. Contacting Epic support will not help, the ban will not be lifted and they will not listen.
Damage control:
If you are banned, GG, can only hope Epic reconsiders in the future but the account is most likely gone forever. If you have used a discord bot recently, log out as soon as you can. I recommend to avoid using discord bots entirely, I have gone most of my Fortnite career without using them, they aren't really worth the risks. AK is probably the safest, but I would avoid using them altogether.
