2,760 people have carried this to within touching distance of £75,000. Every single one of them made a choice. In a country where powerful people have always been protected, 2,760 ordinary people have decided that was not acceptable.
If you donated weeks ago and have not thought about this since, think about it today. Share the link. Send it to one person. That is all it needs.
If you have never donated, and take value from my work, please consider supporting me now.

@ZiaYusufUK @Queenshandbag1 My dad was a security guard. Something like this would have made a massive difference to him. My sister is a care worker this would make a big difference for her as well

@Queenshandbag1 @CICRegulator @WiganCouncil @ChtyCommission Fair play to you Jules. I’m sick and tired of seeing polticians use hillsbrough and on this occasion as a political stunt.

My complaint forwarded to
@CICRegulator @WiganCouncil @ChtyCommission by email.
Dear CIC Regulator,
I am writing as a concerned member of the public and as a mother of a vulnerable adult to make a formal complaint against THE HAMLET WIGAN CIC (Company Number 15580720) and its Director, Gemma Crompton.
On or around 21 May 2026, during the Makerfield by-election campaign, Reform UK representatives made an unannounced visit to the centre. Rather than dealing with any concerns privately and professionally, Ms Crompton issued a public letter accusing them of creating an “intimidating and overwhelming” atmosphere. This letter was rapidly amplified by Labour’s by-election candidate Andy Burnham, who was already present on site at the time.
As a mother of a vulnerable adult, I am utterly sickened and disgusted by what has occurred. The Hamlet exists to support young adults with additional needs — not to serve as a political weapon. By publicly weaponising the vulnerability of the trainees in her care for partisan advantage, Ms Crompton has allowed the organisation to be used as a political football in a desperate attempt to damage Reform UK. This is morally reprehensible and a profound betrayal of the very people the CIC is supposed to protect.
I believe this conduct raises serious questions about whether The Hamlet Wigan CIC is fulfilling its legal obligations as a Community Interest Company, including:
Failure to remain politically neutral and act solely in the community interest.
Exploitation of vulnerable beneficiaries for political purposes.
Apparent alignment with one political party (Labour), especially given the organisation’s receipt of public funding and support from Labour-controlled Wigan Council.
Damage to public trust in community organisations through the cynical use of safeguarding concerns for electoral advantage.
The perfectly timed nature of the complaint coinciding with Andy Burnham’s presence and the by-election strongly suggests coordination and undermines the integrity of the CIC’s purpose. Vulnerable adults with additional needs must never be turned into pawns or human shields in political battles.
I therefore request a full investigation into this matter, including:
Review of the CIC’s compliance with community interest rules and political neutrality expectations.
Examination of any funding agreements with Wigan Council and potential conflicts of interest.
Assessment of whether the Director’s actions constitute a breach warranting regulatory action, including possible removal or disqualification.
I am happy to provide further details or evidence (news articles, copies of the public letter, etc.) upon request.
This incident has caused real harm to the reputation of community projects and to the dignity of vulnerable people. Action is needed to protect the integrity of the CIC framework.
Yours sincerely,
Jules Michele

@LeeAndersonMP_ Bet your life if it was the king with his bodyguards and photographers who made a visit to this place not a bad word would have been said…

Let me put the record straight in plain English.
We had no plans at all to visit this venue. Rob was taking us on a tour of the constituency to places which meant something to him. He took us to an old factory site next to the canal to start the tour. This was a factory where Rob used to work ( if you're not familiar with the term 'work' it's something working class people do day in day out and it involves getting your hands dirty).
As we drove around he decided to take us to a fishing lake where he has fished. Once there we saw a cafe and decided to have a cuppa and use the toilet.
I am confused as to why the lady sent the letter as she sat with us talking to us all about the cafe and the challenges it faces. She then asked for a selfie with Rob and Nigel and thanked us for the visit. We then left.
On entering the car park I came across a very shaken looking @christiancalgie who I believe had been subject to a torrent of verbal abuse, some of it by yourself. We know there is a lot of pressure on yourself to become Labour leader but this type of gutter politics has no place in the UK.
The cafe is a great place doing great work and as a supporter of these types of establishments I know full well about the financial challenges they face and the conversations these establishments have with politicians to secure funding. It now makes me wonder why this letter has been sent and I just hope this cafe is not being taken advantage for political gain.
Andy Burnham@AndyBurnhamGM
Mr @christiancalgie has been busy putting out a partial version of events these last few days, amplified by yourselves. I think it’s time all your readers had the whole story. They were all out of order and, if they had any decency, would now hold their hands up and apologise.

‼️ @HarrietCross_MP is right.
A price cap is ludicrous and doesn’t work. But she fails to point out what is causing Britain’s loss of control of food prices…. Brexit removing 1947 Agriculture Act and Michael Gove’s nonsense replacing it!
English

@Sargon_of_Akkad @Nigel_Farage have you read this. There appears to be some lies that state you have repeatedly called for the nhs to be privatised. @ZiaYusufUK

@Mick_McIver1984 It’s a model for lots of areas , Kennie , Everton, County Rd , Walton Vale . Council powerless now.

@DianaJA76 @RuthDavidsonPC The company I work for. I was training a couple of uni students, they told me that there were only two positions and that over 500 applied. If that isn’t a wake up up call, then i do not know what is.
English

@RuthDavidsonPC That isn’t true Ruth. I know young people out of work graduates and some left school after GCSEs. In most cases the issue has been lack of transport, mental health and no support writing applications etc (yes even graduates).
English

@SteveBakerFRSA Isn’t this the same with your party? Say one thing to get votes and do the opposite?
English

@GoodwinMJ Matt, wasnt just the north that was affected. My mates who are forklift drivers lost their overtime and their wages were suppressed due to oversupply of cheap labour. Nobody benefitted apart from businesses and agency’s.

Andy Burnham did not mention immigration once in his speech.
Not once.
Andy Burnham talks about how the working class has been smashed.
But he says nothing at all about how they’ve been smashed apart by mass uncontrolled immigration.
About how New Labour entered into a toxic alliance with big business - when Andy Burnham was a minister - to screw over British workers.
They flooded northern England and the entire country with cheap migrant workers to keep labour costs low, profits high, and feed Labour’s sense of moral superiority over everybody else.
They not only knowingly undercut the British working-class and left their communities unrecognisable.
Even worse: they then forced those same British workers to pay billions of pounds in foreign aid, welfare payouts & social housing subsidies for people who are not even British.
And then they prised opened the borders & forced those same British workers to pay another £15 BILLION providing housing for people who broke into Britain illegally and now assault their wives and daughters.
Andy Burnham doesn’t talk about any of this.
Nor does he talk about how Labour then screwed these same workers and their communities all over again by fast-tracking insane Net Zero policies, sending energy bills to record highs, piling record high taxes and surging business rates onto their businesses, and making it 15% more expensive to hire workers in this country.
Andy Burnham doesn’t talk about any of this.
And nor does he talk about how the Labour Party then screwed these same British workers all over again by unleashing a regime of mass welfare in this country, rewarding people who sit at home on welfare or who break into Britain illegally while ignoring those who actually work in this country, who actually contribute.
Let’s get it right.
Andy Burnham and the Labour Party have consistently treated British workers like second-class citizens in their own country, all while deriding them as “bigots”, “racists”, “far right” and complaining when they simply fly their own national flag!
Andy Burnham doesn’t talk about any of this because Andy Burnham knows that his party, the Labour Party, will never change any of this.
Labour is no longer the party of labour.
It is now a party of mass immigration, mass welfare, and, when it comes to understanding what is REALLY happening to the working people of this country, mass ignorance.
Only Reform will deal with this.
Only Reform will leave the ECHR.
Only Reform will slash migration, welfare, foreign aid, and endless payouts for non-Brits.
Only Reform will keep the NHS free for BRITISH people while ensuring foreigners pay.
And only Reform will put the people of Makerfield where Andy Burnham and the Labour Party will never put them.
First.

🚨🇬🇧 Andy Burnham’s Greater Manchester authority funnelled hundreds of millions in public loans to developer Renaker.
They built luxury skyscrapers packed with penthouses. Barely any affordable homes delivered.
The tycoon takes £40m+ dividends and relocates to Monaco.
This is champagne socialism in action.
Public cash for private luxury under Burnham.
Andy Burnham has serious questions to answer.

Will the Labour Party, formerly the ‘party of the working class’ replace Keir Starmer - the man who prefers Davos to Westminster, with Andy Burnham the darling of the World Economic Forum ?
Anyone hoping for change prepare for disappointment .

@allezhoyley @ryan_murton @AndyBurnhamGM Yep that’s the spirit… make fun of working class lads who then struggled to pay their mortgages as a direct result of Andy’s party.

MAJOR BREAKING: Pep Guardiola will leave #ManCity at the end of the 2025/26 season.

@ryan_murton @AndyBurnhamGM I would like Andy to see the damage that having open borders did to my mates jobs. Working class lads who relied on overtime…

English

@AndyBurnhamGM Actually more likes than views lmao.
Good bots strategy from Andy and Labour 👍😂

Andy Burnham is only saying he doesn't want to rejoin the EU because the majority of Makerfield voted to leave the EU in 2016, and he wants to win the upcoming by-election.
Another politician who the British public simply cannot trust.
Politics UK@PolitlcsUK
🚨 NEW: Andy Burnham says he doesn’t want to rejoin the EU “Brexit has been damaging, but the last thing we need right now is to re-run those arguments”
English

Working class communities don’t want to be told they got Brexit wrong. They were sending a message, and Labour still hasn’t properly heard it. They voted for change, and they’re still waiting for politicians to deliver it - for their towns, their industries, their way of life. That means secure work, pride in place, and control over their own communities. A Labour party worth its name stands with them, not above them. That is the test for any Labour leader.
English

@AndyBurnhamGM Thanks to you. When your party opened to borders to the whole of the EU my mates lost their overtime. Their wages suppressed because of your politics. Over supply of cheap labour.
