The Australian government just arrested our most decorated veteran from the Afghanistan War for alleged war crimes. Ben Roberts-Smith was awarded the Victoria Cross for Australia after singlehandedly storming two Taliban machine gun positions by himself in order to save his own SAS team. And this is how we repay him. I spoke to an Australian Afghan war veteran who told me that the Australian government literally paid for billboards in Afghanistan offering to pay random Afghans to come forward with war crime allegations. What country on Earth would do this to itself? Tell me: When does the Taliban plan on holding war crimes tribunals into their own people? When do the Taliban plan on holding themselves accountable for terrorism? Absolutely retarded to purge your own men when fighting a brutal barbaric enemy that respects no rules whatsoever. This throw is worse than many non-athletes realize. It’s a bad read to throw it into double coverage but the throw itself is almost suspiciously bad. He throws this from inside the 50 and it barely makes it to the 15 on the other hash…for a D1 QB of his caliber that’s a comically bad throw. Many HS QBs could have thrown it better. I’ve watched this play many times and I’m so hung up on how bad it is.

@Driczone @JohnStossel The cap is actually about $170k. The reason it exists is because there is also a cap on how much social security one can receive. People who make more than $170k get completely screwed because they pay in far more than they can ever get out. You are not entitled to their money.

@JohnStossel Here’s an idea, remove the antiquated $120,000 cap and make all income subject to social security taxes. It’s ridiculous that I pay taxes on 100% of my income but rich people only pay it for a day or two. Removing the cap alone would make SS solvent for decades.

Social Security and Medicare are like a ticking time bomb! Yet most politicians promise not to touch these “entitlements.” Those politicians are either lying or ignorant. Unless we raise retirement age, cut benefits, or privatize, the explosion is coming.

A hollow version of Illinois beat a hollow version of Tennessee. My biggest takeaway? None. There is no takeaway. These teams aren’t who they were this season nor who they will be next season. The game existed in a vacuum. It’s indicative of nothing. Winning it says nothing about Illinois and losing says nothing about Tennessee.
