Many in the car industry are determined to just sell electric vehicles. Most customers still prefer petrol, diesel or hybrid. What happened to the idea that you should meet the needs and wishes of customers?

@CliveWismayer Probably some truth to this. If I could speak to all 11 yr olds I’d tell em there’s far more fun, fulfilment, wonder and opportunity from learning a 2nd language than passing maths, physics, chemistry etc.

1 the lousy teaching of foreign languages in British schools is deliberate policy & 2 our general uselessness at languages has played its part in the UK’s long decline.

11-14 I learned French at school. Got chucked out for mucking around too much. Yet, more than 50 years later my pitiful French is just enough to get by in shops & restaurants & not be the pathetic Brit who expects everyone else to speak English. I am certain of 2 things …
