The little #peakdistrict village of Hathersage at first light on a winter morning. Only a few hardy souls ventured out, the old stone buildings glowed under the snow, and children on sledges filled the hills of the Hope Valley beyond. @vpdd

My sleepy home village of Hathersage this morning, as the snow fell softly and the lights twinkled. Only a few hardy souls were out, and me in my wellies. Hathersage has strong associations with Charlotte Bronte, and The George Inn is featured in her classic novel ‘Jane Eyre’.
