maybe what i want is not a single model becoming more generally capable, but a richer morphology of models. different shapes, scales, speeds, temperaments, and specializations for different kinds of work. a tiny model that knows shaders extremely well and responds almost instantly. things i can teach them myself, fast and cheaply.
