A Note From The Founder ❤︎ My motivation for building Timeline Dating and growing a community of thoughtful daters is both personal and research-backed. I know what it's like to realize later in life that marriage and family matter deeply to you, whether that's a new clarity or something you've wanted all along. I also know the heartbreak of watching friends invest years in relationships that were never going to get there. But here's what research confirms: couples who discuss relationship goals and timelines early report higher satisfaction, stronger commitment, and faster progress toward serious partnerships. Early clarity reduces ambiguity and builds trust. I met my husband at 31, married a few years later, and we have a baby on the way. It can work out, even when it feels late. But I believe you deserve to know if someone shares your vision before investing your time and heart. For those of you who are ready now, whether you've deprioritized marriage and family for years and are now ready, or you've been ready all along but keep meeting the wrong people, you're not alone. I'm building for you.

The response to this insanely simple yet non plastic coffee maker should usher in the era of “dumb” simple appliances that work and dont poison you or connect to your wifi

moka pots are fantastic and underrated. they do require a touch more setup time (especially if you do it the right way and boil the water first), and you gotta watch the stove closely. but you can also make easy cafe au laits in em by adding some milk in the top before it brews. 🤍

More healthy/loving pressure on women earlier! My approach now is to encourage the introspection and self awareness angle so you can better pursue the future you want deep down. Important for men and women. It’s easy to get caught up in the day to day and never do the math. I started dating my now husband at 31, and we were both ambivalent about kids initially. But I encouraged time horizon convos and we realized we had a narrow window to decide our longer term future. Grateful to be healthy and get pregnant naturally on the first try at 35, but still wish we’d been a little more aggressive on our timelines.

Someone should start the most pro-kid-friendly town in America: Kid play areas everywhere Abundant playgrounds Changing tables and toddler toilets in every bathroom Expectant mom parking Stroller accessibility Family discounts Kids events Homeschooling events What else?

I’m trying my hardest to find an SUV that’s suitable for three to four car seats that isn’t either 1) Giant Expedition / Yukon / Tahoe / Sequoia 2) A complete piece of crap (bye bye Kia Telluride and Hyundai Palisade) 3) Has a cramped third row (bye bye Mazda / Volvo / Honda Pilot) 4) VW Atlas & Acadia only have 6 seats. There is none, besides maybe the Highlander. Lol, the minivan is seriously the best option if you are going to have 3 young children at least in car seats

i have two friends who recently hit 40 and suddenly decided they wanted kids after being on the fence for years. they’re both dating, but of course the guys who want kids are only considering women in their 30s. it’s too late for them to realistically freeze eggs. i’m so sad for them. talked to a friend who’s 33 the other day who said she probably wants kids but is feeling really good about having lots of personal time and doesn’t want to date or think about kids rn. she said she has a lot of personal growth she wants to do first. i tried to tell her that having kids is a great way to grow but i could tell she was bothered by me saying this. nobody could have anticipated that when people started telling girls to delay marriage and motherhood, many of them would take this to mean they could wait til 38 not 28. it’s somehow offensive to try to correct this.
Lisa Britton@LisaBritton

A single friend of mine turned 40 and she decided to go get her eggs frozen in case she wanted to have children in the future and she got really upset when she was told “Hunny, you should have had this done years ago” by a person at the clinic. I think women were really manipulated to the level of delusional when it came to how simple it is to have children later in life. I see women complaining “Stop telling us when to have children!” Experts today aren’t telling women when to have children, they’re warning of the dangers of putting it off after decades of propaganda.

Lived in WI and So Cal for many years each. The truth is you can be happy in either, if you’re able to prioritize whatever you value most. So there’s no right answer, it totally depends on your hierarchy of values. I want to be surrounded by daily/365 natural beauty, so I take the tradeoffs of high cost southern Orange County.

Serious question & put politics aside: Would you rather make 65k in a state like Missouri / Oklahoma (bumfuck Midwest state) OR 200k in California (Bay Area / LA) Again, pretend politics don’t matter. But you factor in everything else like weather, attractions, life you could live each place off the salary, etc

My husband had this “eureka moment”. We talked about marriage on the second day together and got married a few months after we met. Four years and two babies later, here we are! Btw this happens more often than you think, yes even today
clara@caviarkittie

I believe society's decadence is partly due to the fact that men no longer have eureka moments when they see a woman. I don't remember the last time I heard a man saying he saw a girl and decided he had to marry her.

5 red flags i've observed in 47 SF dating scenarios: red flag 1: "i'm really busy right now" - translation: you're not a priority - observed in: 23/47 cases - outcome: 91% faded within 2 weeks red flag 2: "let's see where this goes" - translation: preserving optionality - observed in: 31/47 cases - outcome: 87% never defined relationship red flag 3: vague future plans - "we should do that sometime" - no specific date/time - observed in: 19/47 cases - outcome: 94% never happened red flag 4: decreasing communication - went from daily to weekly - messages getting shorter - observed in: 28/47 cases - outcome: 96% ended within a month red flag 5: "i'm not ready for a relationship" - but continues dating you - wants benefits without commitment - observed in: 15/47 cases - outcome: 100% ended in situationship pattern: these aren't random they're strong predictive signals

I agree with you it’s a great date - it’s all about timing & enough vetting having happened first before suggesting it. As a woman, there’s a high level of trust & intimacy involved in letting a man cook for you in their home. They could poison/kidnap you much easier than out in public. So if she gets dodgy, she probs simply doesn’t trust you yet.

I’ve never really been a big restaurant/going out to dinner guy. I’d much rather cook a girl a healthy dinner, light a candle, pour some wine, and actually talk like normal people. But the second you suggest “I’ll cook for you,” sometimes they get all weird… Why is this?
