Cortisol is not just a stress hormone.
It is your primary morning wake signal.
It peaks 30-45 minutes after waking and drives alertness.
Morning sunlight anchors that cortisol peak to the right time of day.
Disrupted cortisol rhythm means disrupted sleep, energy, and focus for the entire day.

I met a North Korean diplomat today in Moscow- I am the first British person he has ever met. He reminded me it was Shakespeare’s birthday yesterday and his knowledge of the Bard was encyclopaedic. As was his knowledge of the work of Stephen Hawking. His two favourite Englishmen. One taught him English culture the other taught him about the Cosmos. Not what you’d expect, right? @FCDOGovUK

· Resistance training & mechanical tension on muscles.
· Amino acids (e.g., leucine, glutamate, lysine, arginine, etc.) & glucose.
· Testosterone/DHT, estrogen, insulin, & other anabolic hormones.
