@CraigBaird Kicked the Klondikers butt too, as @timfalconer describes in his great book on the 1905 Stanley Cup final featuring Dawson City, Yukon. 17 points in a game, I believe.

Today in 1900, Frank McGee is hit in the eye with a puck, losing sight in the eye.
Despite this, from 1902-1906, he wins 3 Stanley Cups with the Ottawa Senators, scoring 71 goals in 23 games.
He also serves in WW1, dying at the Somme.

117 years ago this evening the Dawson City Klondikers played the second (and final) game of their 1905 Stanley Cup challenge against the Ottawa Hockey Club. The final score was 23-2. “One-Eyed” Frank McGee scored 14 goals #klondikers
