Are you DIr+, Staff+ or dev tool founder in NYC? Join me to discuss "Scaling Agentic AI in the SDLC" - 3/31 6pm, NYC
Most of the CTOs I speak to have had their “claude code moment” by now, but the question is how to safely and reliably scale from augmented to agentic engineering in complex brownfield code bases and how to propagate good practices across larger engineering orgs.
On Tuesday, March 31st in conjunction with @heavybit and @radarlabs I'll be co-hosting an evening of short talks, an engineering leadership panel, and honest conversation about what's actually working as engineering teams work on scaling agentic workflows across the software development lifecycle.

I love and use the Codex desktop app daily, but something about the Claude Code UX just feels so much more pleasant to use. The softer colors, the font, the animations. The personality. You wouldn't expect these things to matter in a CLI'ish experience, but they do.
A2P 10DLC Campaign Approval is regulatory capture at its finest. Makes it virtually impossible for hobbyists to get approval to send text messages for even the most benign of reasons. And despite the regulations, my phone still blows up with spam all day long. Total fail.
Forget everything you thought you knew about geolocation. Radar is now the world's first Location OS, with new AI-enabled solutions for fraud, marketing, and operations teams. bit.ly/3Kt6fwl
@andrewchen Every engineering school should offer this. I have personally seen a small startup where all 5 engs were Waterloo co-ops + a veteran technical founder.
@andrewchen - The hiring process is a machine. There are six 3 week cycles every term - students submit applications, you select who you’ll interview, and rank the ones you want after interviewing. Students also submit a ranking.
Question
I’m curious to learn more about Waterloo famed co-op program. How it works, the history, why employers like it, etc. (particularly the employer side)
Who can talk to me about this? Please tag!
@andrewchen Applications include transcript, resume and employer rating from prev terms (very helpful). Waterloo coordinates the interview scheduling via hiring portal - employer picks a day, students sign up for slots.
Giving everyone a peek at the internals of HorizonDB, our geospatial database @radarlabs written in Rust powering 1 billion API calls / day:

I’ll be speaking at State of the Map US this Friday in Boston. Looking forward to sharing how we built HorizonDB, which powers geocoding at @radarlabs .
If you’re attending @sotmus , hope to see you there!
Our winter 2025 product release is here. This quarter, we’re announcing:
📊 New risk and compliance reporting for gaming customers
🔔 Campaign builder and new out-of-the-box location-based marketing tools
🌎 General availability of international address coverage for geocoding and address autocomplete APIs
These features further position Radar as the only all-in-one location platform, from retail and restaurants to logistics and gaming: radar.com/blog/winter-20…
Quick snapshot of @radarlabs :
• Processing 1 billion API calls / day
• Built a Geospatial database we call HorizonDB (Rust/RocksDB)
• Built "remote control" for Geofencing
• <1m accuracy Ultra-wideband positioning
• Ready to operate in 18 states for iGaming (soon all avail)
Since launching our Maps platform in 2023, hundreds of companies have switched to @radarlabs from Google Maps/Mapbox. To support our next phase of growth we're hiring a director to license global map data across many different map layers and build out our channel partner program.
