There's more disincentives than incentives for people worth networking with, to go to such events.

I hate ads with all my life.
After being a copywriter, marketer, media buyer and head of growth. I've probably seen more ads than most people will ever see.
The worst part is I learnt how to break them down/analyse and I can't switch off, so now everything of mine is ad free

I don’t like music subscription because you’re in a deadlock loop paying for intangible content which you’ll never own. So I’m permanently back listening to radio now. Think about it. A brand pays for ads for your attention. You pay to avoid those ads. That means I am the prize. So, if you’re not getting paid for it. Why bother? Please don’t attack me. I’m an orphan.
