@steeke7 @NickHorob I asked my elivators to send me all of my contract information for as far back as they had, and then I uploaded it to Claude along with Settlements and had it do some analysis for me. I thought it was quite eye-opening on some tendencies I had but didn't know I had.

Building out an automated "Grain Marketing Advisor" and testing out its abilities. This might turn into one of the highest ROI builds yet. Its hooked to a cron based python scrip in my openclaw, and constantly udpates and pulls data from obisidian. The coolest part is it will know my farm (fron to back) and learn from all past sales to get smarter in the future. Pulls supporting info from CBOT, USDA reports, social media chatter, etc. Emails me the whole report weekly, daily market movement, and sends "action needed" reports that are time sensitive to my discord channel. Time will tell.

@steeke7 Do you just ask it to do the scheduled task? Then how do you stop it once you are done? Are you doing that on cowork or the web?

Ran a Claude Cowork project to watch for pricing on JD 8320-8520 machines looking to find me the best deals on hours and feature. Then set it to run on a schedule so it will give me a weekly report. Pretty neat. It’s set to scrape auctions, tractor house, machinery Pete, etc and local Facebook.

Logan from River Hills Ag and myself did some experimenting with how certain water conditioners and different herbicides react to water Ph. We learned we can do to get a more favorable Ph with our chemical mixes to make them kill weeds more effectively. youtube.com/watch?v=gDDczA…

@VerizonBusiness we have now been billed for 2 phones that we have not received for our small business and are unable to find a business rep to help resolve the issue. What can we do to remedy this situation?

@JeffBullerman @PrecisionPlant @FieldView @Horob I don’t have as mush experience with the Gen 3. Will my John Deere now automatically pull hybrids from planting maps even if the yield monitor isn’t tracking them for a Gen 3? I know my Gen 2 20/20 does

Folks, stayed tuned this November and December as I plan the 1st annual fertilizer application tour. I will visit no fields. I will take no surveys. It will consist of me driving around visiting different bars and breweries across the Midwest.

Athlete: Coach… I think I want to quit. Coach: Okay. Then let’s talk about why. Athlete: I’m tired. All the early mornings, the pain, the pressure. Sometimes I wake up and wonder what I’m even doing this for. Coach: That’s not quitting. That’s being human. Doubt shows up when you’re close to something that matters. Athlete: But I’m not even sure I’m good enough. I look around and see people stronger, faster… happier. Coach: Comparison is a liar. It shows you everyone’s surface but hides their struggle. You don’t need to be better than them. You need to be better than yesterday. Athlete: What if I never win? What if I give everything and still fall short? Coach: Then you’ll walk away with something most never touch—truth. The kind you only find when you’ve emptied yourself for something bigger than comfort. Athlete: So… you think I should keep going? Coach: I think you already know the answer. You wouldn’t be having this conversation if you truly wanted to stop. You just want someone to remind you that it’s worth it. Athlete: It hurts, Coach. Some days, it really hurts. Coach: Good. That means you care. And nothing worth having comes without pain. Now breathe. You’ve made it through every hard day so far. Most quit before the breakthrough! Don’t be like most!

Every year we track when the ice completely leaves the slue located below our farm. Here is the dates that that has happened going back to 1992. I have also included the date Easter has fallen on that year and the years i also tracked when we started planting in comparison.

Western corn rootworm eggs are seeing an open winter and cold soil temps. Will 2025 continue to see lower rootworm populations in SW MN?
