@jkbjournalist @marctorrence Love my city, but no. Unless you are in the immediate ~5 miles from city hall, you’re not walking home. NYC, you can walk Coney Island to Battery Park, all the way up to Harlem. Philly, the best you get is Penn’s Landing to Italian Park or University City.

This will sound like an obnoxious “only in New York thing” but randomly deciding to walk 6 miles home from work because it’s a nice day and you want some fresh air is really an amazing experience you can’t get anywhere else

@Heroinmaven69 @jkbjournalist @marctorrence Yet accounts for 1/3 of the city and nearly half of its taxes. We’re the city. It’s highly walkable from many of the immediate burbs into the city. Certainly more than going from even Mt. Airy or Bridesburg, let alone in Fox Chase or Parkwood - barely walk within those areas.

@rfwalsh86 The population of Ireland has increased by 1.8 million people in 40 years. The pace of new housing has not kept up. This is a fault of government planning.

None of these people complained or protested for over a decade when there were record numbers of irish homeless. Suddenly when they started struggling to find housing themselves or for their children or losing money they started blaming foreigners & protesting #fuelprotest
