Some scholars date the crucifixion of Jesus Christ to Friday, April 3, AD 33. That would place the original Palm Sunday on March 29, AD 33. If that’s correct, then this year our Holy Week lines up with the original Holy Week.

@TruthSnackMatt I wasn’t sure if you got an advanced reader copy. Just a few days until it’s out. Once you’ve read it, I’d appreciate your honest review. We tried to write with both compassion for those deconstructing as well as a zeal for the truth. Hopefully both come through.

@TimothyBarnett All due respect, I think the book confuses the def of deconstruction and will unintentionally demonize doubters who use the term in church. According to your own definition, Trueman accuses you of being unbiblical in the promo! The definition is VERY confusing...

@TruthSnackMatt *entire chapter Not everything going by the name deconstruction is the same. But after doing a deep dive into the movement, we think we’ve accurately described a process that the church needs to better understand.

@TruthSnackMatt Have you read the book? We do our best to distinguish between questions, doubts, and deconstruction. Furthermore, we have an entire on making the church MORE welcoming to doubters and questioner. The last thing we want to do is demonize sincere doubters.

@TruthSnackMatt Hey Matt, That’s a good catch. Alisa and I caught it too. It definitely highlights all the ways the word is being used. And we don’t deny any of that. What we try to do I focus in on a particular expression of deconstruction that is dominant online.
