@MkenyaMzi Healthy debate. Most traditional data scientist roles make more sense in enterprises than in SMEs. Data scientists create value when there are large datasets, complex decisions, and infrastructure to deploy models. Here is an informative article from IBM. ibm.com/think/topics/d…

There is nothing like Data Science , it is sad people think there is anything like that after EDA then what, you cant tell me data modeling that is machine learning , Data scientists is fancy name data analytics guys coined to make them feel good about themselves , anyone in STEM would be called a data scientist then. Data science is not a standalone it is tool thing, like someonewould be like I am data scientist i use matplot pandas , conda , jupyter, tableau, powerbi . Do you see where I am heading with this , now there you go. Most Software engineers with proficiency in data analytics. Tbh people call themselves Data scientist to satisfytheir ego

@MkenyaMzi Healthy debate about tech disciplines is good for the ecosystem. Data science is a global discipline combining statistics, machine learning, and software engineering to solve real business problems.

As they grow in size, teams within megacorps and startups tend to implicitly bias more towards Project Thinking and not enough Product Thinking. Product Thinking is a mindset and a process that, once you see, you cannot unsee it. Product Thinking, Project Thinking, a thread:

A2) The culture change is the required collaboration to bring the demand side (analytics) in line with the supply side (governance). Data quality isn't free, and CIO will be digging out of Self-Service BI debt 10-100x worse than spreadsheets w/o standards & practices #ciochat

If #Agile is only used in IT to improve project execution, it's really hard to drive transformation And #DigitalTransformation requires iterative planning, execution, and feedback loops which is why agile is key to success So agile is both IT & a biz culture change #ciochat
