A recent job application created by CFD states a minimum 25 percent from the hiring list will be reserved for applicants from "socioeconomically disadvantaged" neighborhoods across the city.
This language is virtually identical to terminology found in the recent contract Local 2 concluded with the City of Chicago.
Why did Local 2 leadership approve of a blatantly discriminatory hiring practice?
