On NCAA media call. NCAA senior VP Dan Gavitt says the bid process for the second opening round site will begin "as early as next week" and expects to have bids in for evaluation in June and then have a decision on the second opening round site for 2027 and 2028 in the summer.

If you consider that those who got full shares (16 for each) the difference is $7.3million per school in favor of the B1G. Not good but hardly anything to get too upset about. ESPN/ABC performed extremely well for the SEC from a ratings standpoint. You can always second guess media deal decisions but over the term I expect they won't be significantly handicapped at the SEC.
