@RossSymons I’m enjoying C26 especially the new catching animations and what seem to be new batting shots where they clear the hip. If super smash won’t play ball, could you get the ford trophy in order to licence kiwi provincial players?

@RossSymons I already enjoy the updated fielding and catches in C26 but these changes will definitely be a welcomed update. Sounds like a really good patch, looking forward to it! Is it possible to get the grass in the game looking a bit more textured?

There will be updates for #Cricket26 today. Further updates for fielding in particular will occur over the next week, the dev team on fielding are concentrating on the following; Boundary Fielding o Stepping or sliding over the boundary with the ball o Watching ball go over boundary o Tap Back ineffective Waiting for the ball o Inner ring fielders not picking the ball up quickly Stumpings o Not stumping quickly when a Fielder is close to the stumps Fielding Returns o Time it takes to throw the ball back to Stumps

@RossSymons Yea that would be a shame. Cricket games were fairly steady for a long time. I remember a cricket game as far back as Commodore 64 called Howzat, then mega drive, PlayStation with Shane Warne 99 and EA cricket 2007. Then we had a big drought until big ant came along!

@timrobinsonz Unfortunately Cricket is in a precarious place - if they don’t watch out kids will only have exposure to US sports and soccer, these guys will wake up one day and wonder where the fans went. Very sad.

@RossSymons pleasantly surprised again to see another nz ground University Oval in C26. What a shame the super smash won’t come to the party. Great to see more NZ grounds anyway.

@RossSymons any chance of getting santner wearing his glasses when he comes out to bat? And maybe some tinkering with Tom Lathams likeness? Some of the artists impressions are quite good. Mark chapman for example.

@RossSymons Ah fair enough. Thanks for answering. Fingers crossed with the super smash.Overall you have a lot of nz players in there this time which is cool and even the ones which might be artists renditions aren’t bad. Like the refreshed graphics and new fielding animations too.

@timrobinsonz NZ players are particularly hard to track down. There is a last minute licensing issue with Super Smash, hopefully smarter heads will prevail, but for now they will not be in the game.
