Most pictures you have seen of #Jesus are misleading. He probably was not European-looking, with pale skin and blue eyes. If he was not as dark as a typical Ethiopian, he surely looked like he was raised among people who were. Note John's description of Jesus in Rev. 1:12-15.

When preaching through the theme of holiness, I said one way to think of holy is to substitute the word different. The Bible is called holy because it is different from all other books. The people of God are holy because we are different from all other people. (Or ought to be).

The Hebrew word for holy is QADOSH, meaning pure or separate. God’s call to holiness is distinctive living. The Bible is called the Holy Bible because it is different from all other books. People of God (you and I) are holy because we are to be different from all other people.
