I’m fuming. The Senate is looking to give themselves a pay raise—doubling their salaries. Today they killed the One Big Beautiful Conformity Bill—costing SC taxpayers $500 million! Goodbye child tax credit, no tax on tips, etc. Now the Legislature refuses to suspend the gas tax. And they just passed a “tax cut” bill that RAISES taxes on 30% of working and middle class families. People with student debt, with kids, juggling childcare, tuitions, ballooning housing costs and inflationary prices on everything! The truth—we get what we vote for. It must change!
