This would be fun for a week or three, but there is a reason French colonial administrators and officers either killed themselves or became alcoholics after a few years in Africa Celine talks about this

@SethDillon @MattWalshBlog AI: "It’s also worth noting that identifying AI-generated writing with certainty is often more difficult than it appears." *Proceeds to generate a next sentence that instantly debunks the claim above*!

I understand the concern you’re raising, and it’s a perspective that a number of people have expressed as generative tools become more widely available. However, it may be useful to look at the situation from a slightly broader angle. The appearance of AI-assisted writing does not necessarily imply that people have “given up” on creativity or effort. In many cases, individuals are simply using a new tool to organize their thoughts, clarify their wording, or speed up routine communication in the same way that people previously adopted spell-checkers, grammar tools, or search engines. It’s also worth noting that identifying AI-generated writing with certainty is often more difficult than it appears. Many of the patterns people associate with AI—structured phrasing, neutral tone, balanced explanations, and clean grammar—are also common features of conventional professional or edited writing. Because of this overlap, the assumption that a post is AI-generated can sometimes say more about stylistic expectations than about the actual origin of the text. With that in mind, is there anything else about AI-generated writing or online communication that you’d like to dig into further?

The number of people who clearly use AI to craft basic posts on this site, and replies to posts, is pretty shocking. Once you learn how to spot AI writing, you see it absolutely everywhere on here. It’s unmistakable. The tech has existed for 10 seconds and already huge swaths of people have completely given up on even the simplest forms of creative writing.

The 170km blueprint was a masterclass in global marketing, but the underlying objective was always securing post-oil economic leverage. By transitioning a multi decade, high risk real estate gamble into a centralized data initiative, Riyadh is securing immediate sovereign leverage in the global AI arms race. They traded a sci-fi mirage for physical compute dominance.

@anotherarizonan @camhigby If they are appearing to be more strict with security for people departing Israel and entering the US, I would think it's the US asking (or maybe even forcing) them to do it.

@FPLMaineRoad Yeah if there's ever a season where Arsenal will drop all these points and still win the league because City couldn't capitalize, it will be this season

Why is everyone making out as if we’re going to win 12/12 games. There’s so many more dropped points to come, this is going to be the worse standard title race in decades. I’m just glad Arsenal fans are finally realising how shite they are.
