As a #shopify brand or agency running ads, it’s hard to tell which campaigns and ads are actually getting results. A lot of changes are coming this year that will affect ecommerce advertisers. Here’s a few things that will impact performance:
⁃Google is phasing out all 3rd party cookies (why does this matter? Because cookies are a vital part of tracking visitors on the internet.)
⁃Apple’s recent IOS17 privacy changes (why does this matter? All Apple devices have privacy restrictions enabled, preventing the use of unique identifies commonly used in ad tracking.)
It will be very difficult to track ad conversions once all of these changes take place. Even harder than it is now.
