@dialloshabazz at Pathways in Technology Early College High School 15th Anniversary Celebration March 30, 2026, Civic Hall #ptech #weareptech @rashidfdavis P-TECH Alliance Launches at 15th Anniversary of Historic Brooklyn School einpresswire.com/article/902153… "More students are waiting for schools that inspire and empower them, and they can’t wait for months or years. Look at what all students can achieve with this opportunity.” — Founding P-TECH Principal Rashid Ferrod Davis The P-TECH model creates a clear pathway from school to college to career and has spread across 16 states and 28 countries with over 600 schools, serving 150,000 students. Its success is measured by high graduation rates, college credit accumulation, and career placement. At the gathering, a new national nonprofit will be launched: the P-TECH Alliance, which will increase the number of P-TECH students and schools and provide technical assistance and support to new and existing partnerships. Congratulations @dialloshabazz @StanLitow @tinakelley

@rashidfdavis @PathwaysInTech #BlackHistoryMonth #ctemonth #ptech #weareptech The P-TECH (Pathways in Technology Early College High School) model significantly influences long-term college degree attainment by providing a structured pathway that integrates high school with college-level coursework, leading to both Associate and Bachelor’s degrees. #ptech #weareptech Based on data from the first cohort of 98 seniors (2015–2025), the model's impact is evident in several areas: High Success in College Preparatory Coursework The model creates a strong foundation for higher education, with 84% of students successfully completing approved college or career preparatory courses and assessments. This rate is notably higher than those of the comparison group (57%), the borough (47%), and the city overall (46%). Associate Degree Attainment The P-TECH program is specifically designed for students to earn a Free Associate in Applied Science (AAS) degree through grades 12, 13, or 14 from The City University of New York City Tech, CUNY. • 54% of the cohort (53 out of 98 students) earned an AAS degree directly through the P-TECH program. • An additional 3 students earned an Associate degree outside of the program, bringing the total Associate degree attainment to approximately 57%. Progression to Bachelor’s Degrees The model also serves as a gateway to further long-term academic success beyond the two-year degree: • 26 students who earned their P-TECH AAS degree persisted to earn a Bachelor’s degree. • 2 students earned a Bachelor’s degree without first earning the P-TECH Associate degree. • In total, roughly 28.5% of the original cohort attained a Bachelor's degree within ten years of their senior year. Additionally, the data shows that 30 students in the cohort have completed "Some College," suggesting that while they have not yet attained a degree, the P-TECH model facilitated their entry into higher education.

9 years ago January 26, 2017, Pathways in Technology Early College High School completed 11 semesters approaching the milestone of the completion of the first grades 9-14. "The job of the school is to teach so well that family background is no longer an issue" the Reverend Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. @rashidfdavis There is a tremendous value added for P-TECH with a 99% minority demographic to produce STEM college graduates. STEM National Data National metrics for STEM degree completion within six years of high school graduation highlight significant gaps based on school demographics: • High-Minority Schools: Only 10.9% of students from high-minority schools complete a STEM degree. • Urban Schools: The completion rate for students from urban schools is 14.4%. • High-Poverty Schools: The rate drops to 8.1% for students from high-poverty schools. "On its 15th Anniversary PTECH was ranked by the Public School Review as the #1 vocational school in NYC, the #3 ranked high school in Brooklyn overall and 14th out of all 534 high schools in the City of New York. That incredibly high ranking isn't even the whole story. When specialized exam high schools like Stuyvesant High School, Brooklyn Tech, and Bronx Science, along with schools where students are screened for admissions based on tests and grades, are removed PTECH is #1 in America's largest city". Currently there are over 600 PTECH schools in 16 US states and 28 countries and the data demonstrating success in the initial school is borne out across the other geographies. shankerinstitute.org/blog/ptech-1 #PTECH #WeArePTECH MDRC October 2023 P-TECH 9-14 Pathways to Success Implementation, Impact, and Cost Findings from the New York City P-TECH 9-14 Schools Evaluation • An evaluation by MDRC, funded by the U.S. Department of Education, examined the first seven P-TECH 9-14 schools in New York City, following students for seven years after they began ninth grade. Rashid Ferrod Davis (member of the design team and founding principal of P-TECH Brooklyn) was among the principals of these seven schools. Two of my former assistant principals are now P-TECH principals in two of the seven schools (2025). New findings in this report indicate that the P-TECH model increased students' postsecondary degree completion, particularly for male students, and boosted internship and dual enrollment rates, even during the pandemic. "By the end of the first year of postsecondary education, 2.6 percent of female and 1.8 percent of male P-TECH 9-14 students had earned degrees, compared with virtually no students from the comparison group, of either gender. These impacts for both genders are statistically significant". "Male students who had the chance to attend P-TECH 9-14 schools were more likely to attain college degrees than male students assigned to other kinds of schools". mdrc.org/.../pub.../p-t… ptechnyc.org

#ptech #weareptech @rashidfdavis @PathwaysInTech #GoldenGlobes The top-ranked vocational public schools in New York are Pathways In Technology Early College High School (P-tech), Aviation Career And Technical Education High School and Thomas A Edison Career And Technical Education High School. Overall testing rank is based on a school's combined math and reading proficiency test score ranking. publicschoolreview.com/new-york/vocat… Rachel Rosen, MDRC "We believe that CTE leaders will be really interested in the positive impact that we're seeing for students who are participating in P-TECH. P-TECH 9-14 students signed up for dual enrollment programs at higher rates, attempting and earning more college credits than the comparison group students by the end of four years in high school".
