Please play this as it will give you goosebumps as it did me. Better for the soul than another picture of a white thug with face contorted by hate and lager. Three cheers for the good people of Bristol!

@MaryWBousted After saying to my headteacher that no I couldn't stay past 6pm, I was told I had to 'make a choice'. Unfortunately, the headteacher after her was no better. I made my choice and left teaching altogether

Offer day is one of my least favourite days of the year on one hand as reading upset emails from parents/carers is not nice as all they want is the best for their child. Exciting on the other to get to know our new family members.

@HarleyShah My biggest problem with all of this is the presumption re: levels of grief. I was not in contact with my father so didn't want the time for him but then when wanted to grieve for a close family friend, this is not counted

I don’t know why this doesn’t get discussed enough but three days bereavement leave in the UK is absolutely diabolical. If that’s your parent or sibling you are going to be unable to focus at work or anything in life for months

What age did people have their first child? I’m 30 this year and felt for sure I’d have 2 children by now, but unfortunately life has other plans. I’m so worried by having children in my 30s I’ll stick out as the ‘oldest mum on the playground’

@senresourceblog I thought in Polar Express it says Santa doesn't exist? Been keeping the boys away from that film because that's what I'd heard was in it?

My self-esteem/love/confidence is through the floor at the moment. -there’s been a mistake and it’s 100% my fault, I feel awful, hate myself and just can’t forgive myself. - mum pointing out every flaw or just saying rubbish to make me look worse.

@CensoredHead Wow! Had exactly the same with my bipolar father. He died in 2020. I had to cease contact too to protect my young children and my own mental health. Sending love.

My Dad. My dad was ill, he had bipolar. His illness meant he was a difficult man. His illness meant he was extremely selfish. His illness meant I had a childhood with no love. His illness meant we were poor. His illness robbed me of childhood memories. His illness ruined

@WhistleblowingT Is the job being done to the expected standard ? That is the only question that matters. This is the motherhood penalty in action. Follow up this meeting via email to 'clarify' what was said by him and by you in response. Keep a paper trail & contact your union.

A rare opportunity to listen to the voice of Palestine, unfiltered - as it was heard in the UN. Every one of its eleven minutes is worth it.

@Mathew_Lynch44 @TeacherTapp There are jobs out there for ex-teachers. Company I work for was specifically looking for an ex-teacher and on a much higher salary and more importantly, respect and work-life balance

64% of @TeacherTapp respondents agreed yesterday that they would leave teaching for a different job if it paid the same salary. That’s a lot of folks discontented with the state of our profession

@Conservatives @RishiSunak There was also a plan the Nazis had called the Madagascar plan to get rid of 'undesirables' from their country. Sound familiar? 😡

Any ideas on where I can buy more bright teacher-y clothes? I love the look of Popsy clothing but can't afford from there at the moment. I was wondering if anyone else had any suggestions - I love pastels, bright colours & funky patterns! #teacherclothes

I had a baby in 2021. I was left alone after a caesarean birth despite my partner & I quarantining, & testing -ve. He could’ve gone to the pub but wasn’t allowed to stay with his newborn! Why was that allowed to happen? Why were women & babies treated like they didn’t matter?
