giving a child someone else's seat doesn't teach them kindness, it teaches them that crying is a valid way to bypass other people's boundaries. besides, good parenting often involves planning ahead. if the window seat is important for your child’s comfort, it should have been part of the travel budget, not a favor you request from a stranger.
