Back at the hospital for errands. I guess I've been suppressing everything after the events from last week. I'm at the chapel right now, and just being here made me reflect on a lot of things, hence a lot of tears today.

Para lang mas naiimagine natin kung ano ang 6 billion pesos. That’s more than 7,500 classrooms for last-mile schools. That’s 8,633,094 days — or 23,652 years — of daily work at Manila’s minimum wage. Corruption is not abstract. It is livelihoods taken, families strained, communities forced to wait. Every peso lost is a future taken.

I came across this ongoing analysis about Coachella performances, and honestly, ang ganda ng breakdown niya. What makes it even more interesting is that the researcher is Japanese, hindi siya fan, and he didn’t even know BINI at the start. Nagsimula lang talaga siya out of curiosity. His curiosity was simple. He just wanted to understand what Coachella engagement looks like. So he started by looking at Instagram Reels data. At that point, he was just observing patterns. Nakita niya yung imbalance, dominated by big names like Justin Bieber, which is expected. At the same time, may mga unexpected names near the top, and early regional patterns starting to form. Isa sa mga unexpected names na yun was BINI. Hindi niya agad sinabing special sila. Hindi siya nagsimula sa idea na “BINI is special.” He was just asking questions, trying to understand the data. Bakit ganito kataas yung numbers kahit hindi sila headliner? That question led him to go deeper. He built a model to test what actually drives views. He measured stage size, performance time, and lineup position. The expectation was simple, bigger stage means more views. But when the results came out, hindi pala ganun kalakas yung effect ng placement. Around 20 percent lang ng views ang nae explain ng stage and schedule, while the remaining 80 percent comes from other factors like fandom, engagement, and virality. Dito naging clear yung anomaly, BINI. They were not on the biggest stage, they were not headliners, but their performance was way above what the model expected. Week 1 pa lang, they already showed up as an outlier. Then Week 2 came, and it happened again. That was the moment it became clear that this was not just a one time viral moment. They sustained it and they scaled it. As an outlier, the data shows something important. Community driven virality can override industry structure. In simple terms, BINI did not just perform well, they broke the model. What I really appreciated about this study is how it was done. It is well structured, it uses statistical thinking, it is not just fan hype, and the conclusions are grounded. Most importantly, it is not biased. He did not go in trying to prove anything about BINI. He discovered it step by step through the data. Also, this was not just a one time post. The research progressed across multiple updates and data drops, building on the same method each time. That consistency makes the analysis more credible and easier to trust. Of course, this does not automatically mean BINI is bigger than the headliners, and it does not mean the system is fully overturned. But what it clearly shows is this. Kayang lampasan ng strong fandom, engagement, and audience connection ang traditional stage hierarchy. BINI did not just do well. They exposed something bigger. In today’s landscape, fan driven virality can beat traditional industry structure, and we saw it happen in real time. ——>>

If you see a propagandist telling you that the impeachment is a waste of time amidst oil price hikes struggles, tell them this: at least TWO BILLION pesos is alleged to have passed thru the Dutertes. That’s roughly 69,000 years worth of monthly income for the average Filipino family. Corruption, plunder, and betrayal of public trust is a crisis.
Inquirer@inquirerdotnet

LOOK: Rep. Renee Co computed that a total of P1,689,250,000 allegedly passed through Ramil Madriaga, based on the amounts listed in his supplemental affidavit, upon the instruction of former President Rodrigo Duterte. Separately, P205,000,000 allegedly passed through Madriaga via Vice President Sara Duterte and her team. | @AprBenjaminINQ Watch the live stream here: inqnews.net/SaraImpeachmen… Follow our live updates here: inqnews.net/SaraImpeachmen…

please iwan na natin ’tong mindset na ’to. sanay na nga tayo sa hirap hindi ba natin deserve ang mas maginhawang buhay that the government owes us? makakaya mo bang sabihin sa pamilya mo na okay lang ’yan mahirap naman talaga ang buhay? not me, i’m voting for the right people.

This war affects ALL Filipinos. Not just drivers, commuters, etc. So why only give ayuda to these sectors? HINDI LANG SILA ANG APEKTADO. LAHAT AY APEKTADO. Stop the Ayuda and SUSPEND VAT. This is the solution para lahat ay makinabang.

Idk abt you guys but the Philippines moved on quickly from the DPWH flood control scandal and every other corruption scandal before that. And somehow, I feel like media organizations could have done more to keep the conversation happening.
