the way akane’s chest was wrapped was just as offensive as the way they immediately took off ranma’s school girl uniform .. like imagine thinking this was better than the original?

@youcanmel9 that’s not how the people i was battling in the forums saw akane lol they immediately said she was unfeminine because of her short hair .. they were very silly but mostly stupid 😭
English

@tinyconfusion fun fact, in Japan, schoolgirls with short hair are often seen as the epitome of a feminine “first love” type. I mean, I’m sure there are actual boyish short hairs too, but Akane clearly wasn’t meant to be that type.

English

when i would ask people why they hate akane without saying ‘she can’t cook, she’s ugly to them, she’s violent & abusive’, the most people would say is that her short hair makes her look unfeminine 😭 the whole point of ranma 1/2 was rumiko making fun of the concept and yet …

i don't understand why it's so hard for people to not like a female character without being misogynistic. it makes you look weird and uncouth. you should be able to express your feelings without being lowbrow.
English

it’s so funny how akane calls him a little ugly .. i know that burned him so much lmaoooo

@tinyconfusion I love this panel so much. Also, he'd get so bored with her after a day or two he'd take those blossoms right out of her hair.
English

ranma 1/2 would not work without akane tendo 💅🏽

i love you female characters that make men feel emasculated and uncomfortable; female characters who are “uncontrollable” and who carry too much narrative weight than they’re expected to
