Devastated at the closure of @the_13th_note. It was such an important part of, an anchor institution in, Glasgow’s DIY scene. That it has gone out in such ignominious circumstances, with a recalcitrant owner refusing staff’s reasonable requests, makes it all the sadder.

Our members at the 13th Note wish to issue the following statement on behalf of +90% of the workforce:

Thirteen years ago today we (@tiob) put on this mighty jamboree. I miss UK tours being viable for small US bands. Maybe one upside of the cratering £?

The best 🖤 Pop fact; @weareuniforms formed drunkenly in the back of ENZK’s motor on the way home from the Glasgow show on this tour. Think @bangersbangers + @shieldsuphxc supported, put on by our Glasgow comrades @tiob, if memory serves correctly. An essential record.
