There’s no doubt that we are all being pushed into a prison cell. The prison cell I’m speaking of is your own home, and it is happening right under your nose... It used to be that your home was the base to which you would return after adventuring into the outside world. It was your starting point, your safe zone, the centre of your reality, however, a complex mix of advanced technologies is set to change our behaviour, and mark a waypoint in our relationship with our own homes. As with any major behavioural waypoint, it will change the course of our societies current direction, and may beckon in a new era of almost total information control. Once upon a time we used to go to the supermarket, do some shopping, and we may have even seen some people we knew, and we’d have a conversation or two. Then we’d return to our homes, with the groceries we purchased. Nowadays, you can simply order from an app, the choice is limited to what they want you to purchase, and there’s no more interacting in a public arena. This will soon become the easiest way to purchase your shopping. Nowadays the supermarkets are becoming defunct, and they are brazenly robbed by the same people day after day. Thugs walk into my local supermarket and brazenly steal from there without a second thought and without making any effort to hide their actions. The police rarely respond any more to such crimes because they’re happening on a daily basis. This is systematic. If you have a problem which requires the police, they’ll be slow to respond, that’s if they respond at all. Most police stations are almost completely empty, they have emergency phones outside, but there are no front desks any more, these are the final days of front facing community policing. The numbers of the police’s rank and file have been seriously depleted, and the police we do have are poorly trained and are mostly inefficient. In the near future, they’ll encourage you to simply go home and lock your doors. It used to be that we’d go to places such as the cinema en masse and, because the cinemas had so much footfall, the cost of going to watch a movie was relatively cheap, the choice of venues was vast, and the films were varied in size, form, and quality. Nowadays, we have been convinced to stay at home to watch films via Amazon Prime, or Netflix—or we have to go to enormous cinema complexes which have made the experience of going to the movies audaciously expensive, while the smaller venues have slowly been shut down one after another. It used to be that we’d go for a drink in a club or pub, and if we wanted to smoke cigarettes, then we’d light one up. Then, in 2007, that changed to mean you’d have to go outside, to the street or to a beer garden and smoke there. Now we’re entering a stage where you’ll be banned from smoking outside and, soon afterward, if you want to smoke, then you’ll have to do it in the privacy of your own home. How long til they target you in your own house? Society used to be pretty safe. You could go outside and not have too many concerns about your personal safety, there were always police on the streets within our neighbourhoods, rather than now, where you’ll only see police in your community in an emergency situation, or during unrest. Don’t let people tell you different, everything WAS much more black and white back in those days than they are now. Now there are stabbings, violence and robberies regularly, and we all feel less safe outdoors. We used to go to libraries for our information. We’d borrow a book, interact with other people at the library, meet our friends. Groups of kids would have a place to read, and the schools and community centres would often hold events at the local library. Now, most of the libraries have been closed down, and those in power are trying to make sure that you will have no other option than to download your books in the future. Information has moved from being held and sourced by an organisation beholden to the community, and now the information is controlled and censored by those who are interested in sustaining their own power. The high cost of travel, and the restrictions which will be applied, are going to see people move around much less. They’ve already mapped this out in great detail. Petrol and transportation used to be affordable. You could jump into a car, a train, a bus, or a plane, and go somewhere else for a bit. Now, the cost is increasing, and more and more people find it impossible to afford such trips. Instead, they’re encouraged to stay at home more and more. The agenda is increasing, and soon 15 minute cities will be implemented, and will also restrict free movement. You’ll have to apply for permission to leave your area, the cost will be extortionate, and the number of places to stay will be heavily restricted, too. The constant repurposing of hotels will also make long distance travel more inconvenient and expensive. We used to be able to go to a hotel when we went away, and there were plenty of options of where to stay. However, nowadays we’re at a point of societal transition. If you go to a hotel now, you will likely find that it’s mostly being used as overflow accommodation to keep up with the influx of immigration which they don’t want you discussing. Many hotels are now being used for emergency accommodation for illegal migrants, and, so, we end up staying at home. Your home was always meant to be a base. It was meant to be a launch pad. It was our safe place. But it’s now being turned into a prison cell. As the technocrats reset and reform our society, it’s much more convenient for them to lock us down, to take away or limit our options, and, in doing so, they’re taking away our opportunities. You can order your food, your clothes, your electronic goods, your entertainment and more to your doorstep. And, as technology increases, we will start to accept cameras in our homes, artificial intelligence, and other equipment which is capable of total surveillance and monitoring. They are already criminalising human behaviours in public, such as smoking, which previously weren’t criminal acts, and as we allow this, it will continue to grow in scale. Will your children live in a world like the one we left behind? Is it all relative, and isn’t this just what people experienced during any of the industrial revolutions which have come beforehand? The answer is a decisive no! The other revolutions included the mass migration and resettlement of population masses. The rail road brought people, the World Wars brought totalitarian resets, and the age of the atom brought a nuclear stand off which has dictated our prevailing international paradigm until now. The technocratically led Fourth Industrial Revolution will see our houses become an office for the adults, it will become a school for the children, and a college for when they’re older. Our world will soon fit inside a box, and once those who long for power, and seek to control others, have the reins, they will find every reason to keep us inside our prison cells as much as possible. We have already seen how it’s possible to lockdown everyone when those in charge have control over most of the main levers of power. But when those same people have gained total control over almost every device in your house, when there are no more offices, no more supermarkets, no more police stations, no more schools, no more universities. When this process of societal transformation has been completed. It is then when humans will no longer be in charge. Our future, that of the common man and woman, that of the human being, where elites have the ability to lockdown society at the drop of a hat, will be almost totally managed by artificial intelligence. In a sense, humans are shutting up shop. They are giving up on community, and they’re willing to replace all of their freedoms in return for a carefully designed digital gulag. The Artificial intelligence which will rule humanity in the future, will be like the lone prison guard in Bentham’s Panopticon. It will become the all seeing eye within the digital panopticon, a prison cell which we’ve created for ourselves, and it will watch every single one of us intently, as we live out our lives within these homely prison cells of our own design.
