i was 24 working on my portfolio to apply to grad school when C19 disabled me and triggered the symptomatic phase of a genetic disorder. i’ve lost friends, family, my writing community, and my capacity to work a normal job. at times i can’t use my arms or walk/stand well.

COVID is the main driver in the increase of unemployment. I was 21, starting my career in aerospace engineering, when I was infected by COVID-19 - that ended immediately. I am now 25 and still unable to work a normal job. I am 1 in millions with this exact story.

The NYPD has just coined the term "anti-tech violent extremist activity" in light of the mass opposition to AI and data centers, according to @DRBoguslaw. The New York Intelligence and Counterterrorism Bureau at the NYPD has written a report that includes: "The chaotic atmosphere that may result from emergent AI technology in the next five years may fuel large-scale protests that devolve into civil unrest and anti-tech violent extremist activity, especially in large urban areas such as New York City." The thing is, we, a large group of scientists & clinicians, are writing an international collaborative consensus statement on the definitions #LongCovid focusing on evidence-based foundation. The group includes people from the University of Basel. Will they turn against their own?

Hey @DaniBeckman, the university clinic in Basel says that the brain can “learn symptoms”, and also “unlearn” them, and that’s how they “treat” #LongCovid. What does neuroscience say???

Ebola virions are long filamentous particles. In saliva they’re embedded in larger, heavier droplets that fall quickly due to gravity and don’t evaporate into lightweight “droplet nuclei” capable of lingering in air like flu or measles aerosols. Low viral titer in respiratory secretions, poor aerosol stability in real world conditions prevent true airborne spread

and not really rich enough to pay a private doctor to treat me like a human being. no clue how to handle this but hoping it would go away or that i could manage until the world wasn’t a cesspool of airborne viruses didn’t work. every day it gets worse than before!

really scared that i have an esophageal candida infection due to having a piss poor immune system and no doctors are looking at it at all :D in a lot of pain getting worse day by day and idk how to ask for help or how quickly i’ll be able to get it. just really scared
