I sprayed over ₦500,000 on stage because a Fuji musician called my name and hyped me up. My colleague gave him my name and my company name from the crowd. He called it out on the microphone and started singing my praise. Something entered me immediately. I was in full Agbada. I felt powerful. I felt seen. I started transferring to the money changer. Collecting mint notes. Spraying without counting. The musician kept going. I kept spraying. When they moved to the next person I walked back to my seat feeling like a champion. That was when I checked my phone. Five transfers. ₦100,000 each. ₦500,000. My body calmed down immediately. I left that party quietly. Those musicians dey use juju ehn. Nothing wey anybody won tell me. 😞

Lemme tell y’all a true story I heard just this week. A woman who had lived in Nigeria up until age 55 relocated to the UK with her children after her sister mentioned that “Shey be ohun lo bi eyin si (But you were born in the UK)”. Apparently, her parents gave birth to her in the UK and relocated to Nigeria just few weeks after. They didn’t get her British Passport. The only thing they had was the birth certificate. Not long after, both parents died. This woman lived in Nigeria for over 50 years. Omoooo, she suffered ehnnn! She had loads of challenges and things were sincerely not working at some point. On one of those days while she and her younger sister were having a conversation, the younger one made the statement above. And that was the first time the possibility of her being able to relocate due to that or even being British ever occurred to her. She searched for her birth certificate everywhere and eventually found a photocopy of it. And the emails began. Loads of back and forth. Eventually, they confirmed from the hospital’s database where she was born and everything is history now. Her British passport arrived while she was still in Nigeria and same for her two children one of whom was already almost 18. My mouth was left agape when I heard this. Imagine living 55 years of your life in Nigeria with things not working not knowing you are meant for a better world out there 🥵🥵🥵

President Muhammadu Buhari estate, Abeokuta. Conceived by the Governor Amosun administration but abandoned with just one uncompleted building. It now has over 100 units of 4 and 5-bedroom duplexes (detached and semi-detached). Thanks to Governor Dapo Abiodun. It’s a whole new residential carving, situated 5km from Abeokuta along the Abeokuta—Sagamu expressway. Right opposite the newly built Ogun State Judiciary Complex, close to Ogun Tech Hub, and close to the Police College of Information Technology. From the estate, you’ll arrive in Ikeja in 45 mins.

Today, I am incredibly proud. After an intense and inspiring S-VCG Bootcamp, we awarded ₦2.2 billion in grants to 45 outstanding student ventures — young Nigerians turning bold ideas into real solutions. What began with over 30,000 applications from 404 tertiary institutions came down to 65 finalists, and today 45 innovators emerged as winners, representing institutions across Nigeria. The winners come from federal, state, and private universities, with the majority from public institutions — proof that talent and innovation exist in every corner of our country. A moment that stood out for me was seeing 8 winners from the University of Lagos, many of whom came through our Entrepreneurship, Innovation & Business Incubation Certification (EIBIC) programme — a tried-and-tested pathway we are building to move students from ideas to real ventures. That is exactly the vision behind EIBIC: not just teaching entrepreneurship, but building founders, innovators, and builders. The Student Venture Capital Grant is more than funding — it is belief in the next generation. My sincere thanks to our panel of evaluators and judges, whose expertise and careful assessment helped identify these outstanding ventures. I am also deeply grateful to our partners, @BOINigeria, Afara Initiative and Elsie Attafuah of UNDP, for their support in making this programme a success. To our 45 winners — congratulations. To the 65 finalists — you have already shown what the future of Nigeria looks like. Nigeria’s next generation of innovators is already here — and they are just getting started. 🚀 #SVCGJourney #IdeasToImpact #FutureFoundersNG #StudentInnovators #BuildInNigeria

Make I no respond to all this childish comment under this post sha. That this boy could even go to the extent of suing the school after 10yrs showed he is not well brought up! You called your teacher a "mumu"? That is why the society is what it is today. Uncultured children!

IBADAN PEOPLE COME OOO, VALENCIA COLLEGE DON ENTER WAHALA!!! School Proprietor Who Flogged Student for 2 Hours, Poured Dirty Water on Him, Stepped on His Head & Humiliated Him Publicly, Now Sued After 10 Years! A former student of Valencia College, Akobo, Ibadan, has dragged the school's proprietor, Engr. Morakinyo Goodness (@valenciaibadan), to court over a brutal incident that happened on September 13, 2016. According to the lawsuit filed today (March 18, 2026), the proprietor allegedly: - Summoned the student and his classmates to the dining hall over a WhatsApp message, where the student supposedly called him "mumu". - Ordered the student to remove his school shirt and lie on the bare floor. - Had cleaners pour two buckets of water on him. - Flogged him repeatedly with canes for about two hours (from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.). - Forced him to roll on the muddy, wet ground during lunch in front of students and staff. - Kicked him, placed his foot on his head and denied him lunch. - Later poured a bucket of dishwashing waste over his head. - About a week later, he called him to the office, made him strip and showed off the scars and injuries to another person as a way to further humiliate him. The student claims the entire ordeal was degrading, caused serious physical harm and left him publicly humiliated. He is now seeking justice through a fundamental rights enforcement action for violation of his right to human dignity.

ATTENTION!!! Dear @icpcnigeria & Gov @DapoAbiodunCON This is St. Peter’s College (Junior), Olomore in Ogun State, remains in a deplorable and dilapidated condition, with students forced to learn in old, worn-out classrooms that are no longer fit for a safe and conducive learning environment. This is despite the fact that ₦127.6 million was reportedly disbursed in December 2024 to STILL EARTH LTD for the construction of a new classroom block in the school. Findings from Tracka’s monitoring visit reveal that no construction activity has commenced at the site. There is no visible evidence of mobilisation, materials, or groundwork. The existing structures remain aged and deteriorating, raising serious concerns about the safety and wellbeing of the students and teachers who use them daily. What makes this situation even more troubling is that this project was captured under the Federal College of Fisheries and Marine Technology, an agency whose primary mandate does not include the renovation or construction of basic education infrastructure. At a time when the Federal Ministry of Education and agencies responsible for basic education are underfunded, the allocation of education infrastructure projects to agencies outside their core mandate raises critical accountability questions. The Ogun State Government has also budgeted billions of naira for the renovation and upgrading of school facilities across the state, yet St. Peter’s College (Junior), Olomore remains neglected. We call on the Federal College of Fisheries and Marine Technology to immediately provide full details of this project, including contract status and payment records, and to ensure prompt execution. We also urge the @icpcnigeria and @officialEFCC to urgently investigate why ₦127.6 million disbursed for this project has not translated into visible progress on site. Public funds must work for the people, especially for the education of our children. #FixPublicShools @NigEducation

EXPOSED!!! Dear @icpcnigeria & @officialEFCC Over ₦783.78 million meant to build classrooms for secondary school students in Ogun State has been traced to the Federal College of Fisheries and Marine Technology, an institution whose mandate is marine and fisheries education, not secondary school infrastructure. According to findings by Tracka using data from GovSpend, ₦304 million was paid to Akinkas Interbiz Limited for a classroom block at Methodist High School, Arigbajo. Another ₦303 million went to Still Earth Limited for St. Peter’s College, Olomore, while ₦176 million was allocated again to the same company for work at Abeokuta Grammar School, Idi Aba. In January 2026, Tracka’s field visits revealed a disturbing reality: no construction, no materials, no visible progress. Students are still learning in dilapidated structures while hundreds of millions of naira have already been disbursed. Why is a marine focused federal institution supervising classroom construction in Ogun State? How were these funds approved, transferred, and supposedly executed without visible results? Who signed off on project completion? Who verified payment milestones? This raises serious concerns about procurement abuse, weak oversight, and possible diversion of public funds. The beneficiaries of these allocations appear invisible but the suffering of students is not. This is not a clerical error. It is a potential case of systemic corruption involving public institutions and contractors. The Independent Corrupt Practices Commission and the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission must immediately investigate these transactions, trace every payment, and hold all responsible officials and contractors accountable. Public funds are meant to build classrooms, not disappear without a trace. #AskQuestions @DapoAbiodunCON @HMS_FMARD @FmardNg

If you are from a poor home and you want to make it STRICTLY through academics, there are certain courses you must not study. Let me be straightforward, those courses are almost useless in Nigeria. Examples: Microbiology, Political Science, Religious Studies, Animal science, Biochemistry, Environmental biology, Law, sociology, history, Agric, Maths and Stats, Pharmacy. Before you argue this, check those you know who studied these courses. Leave emotions and use your head.

In Ijebu-Ode, a well-digger was hired to dig a well. After days of effort without finding water, he shared an unusual experience with the locals, saying he encountered people underground who warned him not to return. The well's owner, suspecting the digger was trying to avoid finishing the task, decided to take action. On a Sunday morning, while the digger was getting ready for church, the owner insisted he continue the work. Tragically, immediately he went back into the hole, it was the last time he was seen, and his body was never recovered.
