Pokemon feat. Hatsune Miku Voltage Live Review
I have attended and followed most Vocaloid concerts throughout my life from small stages and fan live events to producer solo lives, all the way up to the biggest stage of them all, Magical Mirai.
For the first time in my Vocaloid concert experience, PokeMiku made me fully focus on how incredible the stage execution was. The entire stage was covered in LED panels, with no idle pixels at all. Every pixel was used for effects and gimmicks that pushed the boundaries of background visuals based on each song’s theme. There were also surrounding LED panels extending into the audience, creating immersive effects like Pokeball throws, Pikachu’s Thunderbolt, and animations featuring legendary Pokemon from every generation. Additionally, hanging LED panels on the left and right continuously delivered unique effects throughout each performance.
All of this amazed me and kept me fully engaged with the stage, lighting, and music. At times, I even forgot to chant with my lightstick because I was so captivated by the overall stage quality.
On the other hand, I hate to admit it, but while Magical Mirai is the biggest stage, it has been lacking in evolution and innovation. It feels somewhat monotonous each year. Other Vocaloid concerts continue to experiment and evolve, while Magical Mirai itself seems to be falling behind.
That said, this year they have officially announced the use of LED. I admit there are some stage effects that cannot be achieved with holograms alone, so I’m looking forward to seeing how Magical Mirai executes its LED stage this year.
Takeaway key notes from me:
Let’s see how Magical Mirai performs this year. If the execution is great and successful, then the 20th anniversary next year could feature a massive concert and you should all come to Japan in 2027.

She gave me the motivation to move from a small city to the capital city, Jakarta, and eventually move to Tokyo to be closer to all miku event.
Now, she is pushing me once again to see the other side of the world. See you in Berlin @cfm_miku_en 💕 #mikuexpo
We did our best to set up the flower stand at the venue, but due to unexpected strong wind conditions, some parts may not appear exactly as we originally planned and designed.
Hopefully, everything will still be okay until the end of the day.
