Actually, he said that Zelenskiy needs EU accession if he wants to win a referendum about giving up territory to Russia. But still, this fantasizing of Ukraine signing a deal with Russia to give away territory needs to stop. It's unrealistic and not in our interest.

Regardless of the Ukraine decision, our countries recognition of the results of the referendum on separating the land under duress during the military occupation would violate international law.
