OK @FeringaLab @ProfDaveLeigh @sirfrasersays , love to hear theories about this. I remember reading a paper detailing a ratchet mechanism for perversions in plant tendrils, wonder if this results from similar phenomena, and if so why the difference between Chinese and Japanese.
