OK @FeringaLab @ProfDaveLeigh @sirfrasersays , love to hear theories about this. I remember reading a paper detailing a ratchet mechanism for perversions in plant tendrils, wonder if this results from similar phenomena, and if so why the difference between Chinese and Japanese.

I'm very disappointed to have to announce that ISMSC2020 is cancelled due to COVID_19. While very sad not to be hosting the meeting, this is the safest outcome for all. Please RT to spread the word.
