@ColoradoRapids @denversummitfc Yes, BUT this also shows the gap between what the Rapids can potentially do as far as attendance and what they're currently doing
English

@Burgundywave If the rapids could only move into that new summit stadium...
English

@Burgundywave Great.... They're reimagining. The fan feedback said there's stuff broken with the organization and this reimagination does nothing to fix what's broken
English

BREAKING: The Colorado Rapids aren’t rebranding after the One Club, One Legacy fan survey. But they are going to “reimagine” the crest, among other things. Burgundy Wave has all the details:

@Burgundywave "We didn’t play a role in the operation of that club.” very important quote. I was initially upset because I think 13 is too late for the rapids to be involved in developing top prospects. If they can truly provide value in better developing younger Colorado players, I'm for it

More on Kosi Thompson: He’s still on his Homegrown contract, which expires this year. As such, he’ll count ad a domestic player for Colorado Rapids. Still needs to go through the visa process. TBD on if that will make him available for (fittingly) Rapids at Toronto FC April 4.
Tom Bogert@tombogert
🇨🇦 Sources: The Colorado Rapids have acquired Canadian defender Kosi Thompson from Toronto FC. Deal is for $200k GAM up front + another $200k GAM add ons (up to $400k total). Thompson, 23, in final year of his contract. Likely to have chance for more mins in Colorado.
English

@Burgundywave @tombogert You hate to see when a big transfer target is a second division player near the peak of his career
English

Can now confirm Matte’s and @tombogert’s reporting. Loïc Williams to the Rapids in the summer is likely. Expect him to be on TAM.
Burgundy Wave@Burgundywave
.@MatteMoretto reporting that Colorado Rapids are pursuing Granada (La Liga 2) center back Loïc Williams. Haven’t been able to confirm but he fits what the Pids are looking for. 6’2”, left footed. Also plays right back. He’s been a starter. Transfermarkt market value €1 million.

@MotorTrend The only thing I was trying to find in the article is if there's a chance it would have a manual
English

And if it does wind up coming here, we’d probably only get the M3 Touring version. motortrend.com/news/2027-bmw-…
English

@BrianSciaretta What are your thoughts on mckennie playing as a center back? He could probably fit in well and we lack good center backs while having plenty of midfielders

@Burgundywave Awesome, but did anyone else notice the goat screaming before he scored?
English

@ColoradoRapids Awesome! But.... Did anyone else hear the goat before he scored?
English

@Burgundywave I am not surprised that he's on his way out, but I think they could have sold him
English

@Burgundywave Where's diop in all this? He was dominant with rapids 2 last season and picked up first round in the draft. Surely he gets at least looks from the first team, right?

2026 Colorado Rapids Season Preview: ME Matt Pollard looks at how the Burgundy Boys have changed from last year and what reasonable expectations are for the Matt Wells era
burgundywave.com/2026/02/20/202…

English

@Burgundywave This makes sense. Wells is trying to be as secretive as possible and I wouldn't be surprised if he told players to not give anything away. He doesn't want anyone to know the formation that the rapids will play and who will play in each position
English

@USMNT Awesome effort, but did anyone else feel like most goalies would have saved that?
English

@BrianSciaretta Meh, seems like a standard weston McKennie goal 😉
