@CPowers14 Played Lahinch and had a temp green on #5, which is the famous dell hole. It was still a good green and played like a real par 3 but was so disappointing
Riviera has a bunch of second / temp greens like this one on 10. Have seen them on 4, 6 and 16, too.
Can you imagine getting the look to fill out an outing foursome at a place like this and getting the JV greens ?
Played today at one of my courses that I never play bc of the condition. It's decent during the summer, but the rest of the year it's awful. 30mph wind, 50 degrees, and these greens...
Still had fun but won't be back anytime soon.
@nance410 So last time we decided to try out Warner Robins. We also played Houston Lake, which some of them had played in the past. It’s always a fun time.
@nance410 About 30-40 years ago, a couple of my dad’s friends got in the car and drove south from Kentucky in March until it was warm enough to golf. They stopped in Cordele, GA and decided it was warm enough. They’ve been coming since. A couple of courses closed. 1/2
@nance410 I played the Southern Landings too! We all seemed to like it better. Greens were perfect. Does it have the drivable par 4 down the hill with water behind the green?
@tletcher11 It's a fun layout, but they just don't put any money in it. It'll be fine when the grass starts growing. I just can't believe they let that happen to their greens. Their other course has amazing greens. You're talking about 16. I hate that tree too. Especially to a left pin.
With one month left in the regular season, it looks like the four front-runners for 10th Region Coach of the Year are all from All "A" schools. Who's your favorite?
