@rachitpjain Calling it "Jain Jihad" is inflammatory and factually wrong; the practice is harmless, rooted in ahimsa and practicality (cooler surfaces for barefoot monks in Mumbai heat), and aligns with India's pluralistic ethos. No one is meaningfully harmed. #Jain

Mr. Vedpathak,
What surprises many people is not that you raised a question, but the way you chose to raise it.
Before understanding the purpose behind the practice, you used the term "Jain Jihad" — a phrase that unfairly associates a peaceful religious tradition with something aggressive and hostile.
Later, in your own video, you acknowledged that Jainism is an achha dharam and deleted your earlier post.
If that is your genuine belief, then surely you can understand why many people found your original choice of words offensive and inappropriate.
The reality is quite simple.
• The white coating on the pathway was not damaging the society.
• It was not reducing property values.
• It was not blocking access to anyone.
• It was not taking away anyone's rights.
• The pathway remained open to every resident.
• In fact, such practices are followed at many temples and religious places across India, particularly where monks and devotees walk barefoot.
• The purpose is practical — white-coated surfaces remain cooler during intense summer heat and make barefoot walking more comfortable.
Most importantly, how does this negatively affect your life in any meaningful way?
Has your property value gone down because of it?
Has your quality of life suffered because of it?
The answer appears to be no.
Had you spent a few minutes researching the reason behind the practice, you would likely have found a satisfactory answer. Instead, a simple local matter was presented in a way that invited outrage and communal interpretation.
The monks you indirectly targeted are the same people who spend their lives practicing non-violence, renunciation, self-discipline, and compassion. They walk barefoot not for convenience, but as part of a centuries-old spiritual commitment. Whether one follows Jainism or not, such dedication deserves understanding and respect.
There is absolutely nothing wrong with asking questions. But when a question is framed using inflammatory language, it stops being a search for answers and starts looking like an attempt to provoke a reaction.
Everyone can make mistakes. The mature response is not just to delete a post, but to acknowledge that the term "Jain Jihad" was wrong, clarify the facts, and apologize to the community that was unfairly targeted.

Rs.22 lakhs income per year puts you in top 1% of the population in India.
Saw a trending tweet today how difficult life is for someone earning Rs.52 lakhs per annum in Bengaluru.
To qualify for top 1% income in Bengaluru, the threshold is Rs.32 lakhs.
The trending tweet is about a rich man's problem. He is actually an elite in our country.

@b50 Spot on!! They did their best amongst the best accessible avenues for them while considering the factors like stability, liquidity etc.

Old timers got it right. And when you're poor, you don't have much choice. So our parents, their parents, did what they thought best back in the day.
Bought their house the hard way - slogging, saving, without home loan, borrowing from friends and family. Bought gold because gold is gold. Didn't understand stock market so stayed away. Bought an insurance policy because LIC is LIC and you get bonus.
Look what it got them.
Their kids got a home. That's the best security in a poor country. No home loan. They got the LIC policy. They got gold. All great products worth security and when you're poor, security means a lot.
Sure they missed the Infosys IPO but they also missed so many scams.
What did they do? They sent their kids to schools, colleges, and in a liberalised open India, these kids became VP, senior VP, in banks or IT firms and made more money than their parents and bought even bigger homes. And got very lucky with ESOPs. This is what education and economic reforms got for them.
Now their kids. Gen Z. With the security of parents who worked in MNCs, in the comfort of their 4BHK in Lower Parel. They write long posts on social media about how old India didn't have choice and invested in "garbage" like LIC policies, FD, gold, etc. Whereas the cool way is to log on to an app and invest in an index fund.
Sharam karo saalon. Your grandparents and your parents saw what the real India was. Have some respect.
For likes and follows you're ignoring and forgetting what India used to be and how prior generations gave their best and came out with results they're proud of.
Sharam karo.

Something fundamental broke in the #Silver market today, and it wasn't just the CME "cooling system failure", nor the psychological $50 glass ceiling
What broke today was the narrative that Silver is a hopelessly manipulated, undervalued & therefore pointless investment. Tsunami incoming 🌊

@GoldenEye_6 @NileshShah68 Almost all these mutual funds are not value pickers but momentum investors.

@SunilRe89392848 Long unwinding due to leveraged longs being sold off

Silver’s falling , but not because new supply showed up.
What’s really happening is liquidity breaking before inventory does.
Dealers and funds are being forced to dump paper positions to meet margin calls. Futures are falling faster than spot, so the gap keeps widening even as both drop.
The link between COMEX and LBMA is jammed — credit’s pulling back and no one’s stepping in to arbitrage.
It looks like a price crash, but it’s actually a funding squeeze.
And the irony? This kind of flush only makes the next squeeze worse. When the selling stops and real metal bids return, there’ll be fewer shorts, less liquidity, and no buffer left to contain the move
