Well, this is loaded because all of us fall short of God's glory in some area(s) of our lives.
Doesn't necessarily mean that we aren't saved.
Does Steph have room to grow as believer?
I mean, don't we all?
That doesn't mean he isn't saved though, and it sure isn't our job to make that statement publicly as though we know that to be factual.

Not sure if you realize this but the idea of "knowing Jesus" existed before those political categories.
Knowing Jesus isn't some modern day western phenomenon.
That said, of course knowing Jesus should inform one's political preferences.
However, we are saved by grace--not by our political preferences.

@tlpreacher Democrats who advocate for these things don't know Jesus. Republicans who advocate for these things don't know Jesus. Independents who advocate for these things don't know Jesus.

Believers trust in God for salvation.
Big difference.
Anyone who calls upon the name of the Lord will be saved.
No demon has ever done that.

Any man who claims that salvation is by grace through faith, and not of works, but then points to works as evidence of salvation, is DISHONEST.
Either intentionally, or by being misled.

What I'm saying is that no one is saved because of their perfect beliefs.
If they're saved, it's because of the perfect and finished work of Jesus.
If you want to play the straw man game then I can play too--I guess you believe that only republicans will be in Heaven.

So one who is a true believer in Christ can openly ADVOCATE for murdering a child (Exodus 20:13)? By this logic, a Christ follower can ADVOCATE for violating other commandments such as taking the Lord's name in vain (Ex 20:7), adultery (Ex 20:14) and stealing (Ex 20:15)? He has given you a mind to rightly judge.

I think that there are people on the left and the right that know Jesus.
I do not think that it's my job to determine for myself who those people are.
Salvation belongs to the Lord (Psalms 3:8)--therefore it's His to give, not mine to dissect.

I stand with Jaden Ivey as a believer, but most seasoned Christians know that freshly saved and hyper-zealous season oh so well.
Calling out evil in the world (and rightfully so) is one thing, but what he said about Steph is deeply self-righteous.
New believers should spend much time in prayer and the word to be cultivated before taking their thoughts public on their platform for wisdom's sake.

Because the Bible doesn't solely speak to Christians on how to live.
It also points out the offenses (sin) against God, oneself, and others in humanity as a whole.
