Have a look at this reduction of shade on the green (where the black mats are). Winter shade can be devastating to greens, especially those in a north facing pocket. Snow is reduced to a liquid during warm days and refrozen during the night, which can create sheets of ice.

@fakesportsbot @peterjkostis He had 101 yards. Shot flew 131. There is no way Tiger hits a 101 yd shot long/short by more than 2-3 yds with no wind/elevation. Probably a stock 60 for him. Bet he can’t even stretch that to 105. 131 is out of the question.

@peterjkostis Tiger is barely a tour player anymore. He is 49, can’t walk 72 holes without excruciating pain, can barely make a cut. Everyone needs to come to the reality that he is never going to be competitive on the pga tour again.

So far, TGL has 1. a problem with the simulator algorithm and technology. It's not accurate. Tiger doesn't hit wedges 20 yards long! 2. They need to replace the green because tour players don't run a 20' putt 8 ' past the hole or miss 5 footers by a whole cup.

I try to walk greens in the AM, check for bad plugs, dry areas, mower consistency, disease, insects and whatever variable might get thrown in there. I usually have a few balls in my cart so I’ll often drop a few and check the roll. I’m definitely a better booter than putter.

@apwazza19 @AmandaGolf59 Crazy when you think that his stats average stat ranking put him at 15 which is pretty much where he finished. Plus he had Fred Funk like numbers on distance and accuracy.

@GolfDigest I agree with all his comments and believe they are sincere and not motivated by his ball contract. One of the great things about the game is you also can play all the course with the exception of Augusta. How does one ever drop a ball from an iconic spot and try the shot.

@BallsGolf I think the next ball they released was the Tour Limited MD. Everyone in my neck of the woods called it “The Dr”. It was a nice blend of decent spin and distance. Kind of like the ProV1 when it came out.

@UtahFriday @CaddieNetwork I was there in 2007. The range was right in front of the club house and players had to walk across Magnolia Lane to get to the side with chipping area and bunkers. In fact, the reason they moved the primary range was that John Daley started blasting them over the netting!
