@creepydotorg The Russian Sleep Experiment is something you enjoy listening to and reading about…but pray to God that it’s not real.

The infamous “Russian Sleep Experiment” image was never a real test subject. For years, the photo was shared with the story of a secret Soviet experiment where prisoners were kept awake for days until they went insane. The smiling, creepy face became the image everyone associated with the story. But it had nothing to do with Russia. Nothing to do with sleep deprivation. And nothing to do with a real experiment. The figure was actually a prop called “Spazm,” created in 2005. The Russian Sleep Experiment itself was a creepypasta. The nightmare face that made it feel real was just a Halloween decoration.

Lionsgate is making The Expendabelles, an all-female spin-off of The Expendables. The story takes place in the late 1990s during Y2K fears and world tensions as it shows the origin of a new team of tough female action heroes to help grow the franchise. The project is in early development with producers Heidi Jo Markel and Glenn Gainor after Lionsgate bought the rights

@DiscussingFilm Haven’t they been brainstorming this for a decade already? Honestly, it’s way too late to be making anything Expendable related.

An all-female ‘EXPENDABLES’ spin-off is in the works titled ‘EXPENDABELLES’. The film is set in the late 1990s during the height of Y2K-era tension and geopolitical uncertainty. Capcom had the highest consolidated sales and operating profit in Capcom history for the business year ending on March 31. It marks the Japanese developer’s 9th consecutive year of record profits. Resident Evil Requiem has sold 6.9 million units so far. The secret? Give players what they want.

A new type of ad is appearing on city streets: trucks with huge digital screens showing “3D” animated ads while driving through traffic. The screens are actually flat but use a visual effect called anamorphic animation to make images look like they are popping out of the truck, making the ads appear almost real. This technology is similar to the famous 3D billboards in places like Times Square and Shibuya Crossing, but now the ads move through the streets instead of staying in one place. People say they’re too distracting, especially in heavy traffic, and it’s bad for drivers trying to pay attention.

A Hungarian Steam fan was pretty mad when his brand-new Steam Controller got mistakenly shipped to the UK instead of his home. After he reached out to support, Valve quickly apologized, explained that the mix-up had hit only a small batch of packages, and rushed to fix the delivery. To make up for the hassle, they let him pick any standard Steam game he wanted. He chose Forza Horizon 6 (worth around 70€) and now he’s a lifelong Valve fan.

California lawmakers took a big step for video game players on May 14, 2026. A group in the state Assembly voted to advance bill AB 1921, meaning the full Assembly will now vote on it soon. The bill, named the Protect Our Games Act, was introduced by Assemblymember Chris Ward. It sets clear rules for video game companies that sell games connected to online servers. If it becomes law, it would apply only to new games sold after January 1, 2027. >Before shutting down servers, companies must notify players at least 60 days in advance. >They must then provide one of three options: -an offline version playable forever -a free patch allowing play without the company’s servers -or a full refund. Many companies currently shut down servers and make paid games unplayable. This bill aims to stop that. The Stop Killing Games campaign supported the bill, while the Entertainment Software Association opposed it, arguing the rules would hurt new game development. The opposition failed in the committee vote.

Trailer for Open Waters is a first-person ocean survival horror game. Stranded in a small boat on a vast and treacherous ocean, players must navigate without a mini-map, relying solely on a compass, the stars, environmental sounds, and scattered notes to find their way. The experience centers on thalassophobia, the fear of deep open waters
