5th and 6th grade artists have been collaborating with partners to create a stop motion movie. They came up with their own story line, artwork, and recorded it with an app.
Students in Miss McDonald’s room have been having fun learning phonics and sight word skills through the use of games purchased by the @CfcsFoundation excellence grants funds.
Mrs. Greene's class got to choose between McDonald's, Culvers or Chick Fil A as their favorite fast food restaurant. They wrote them an opinion letter letting them know the reasons why they were their favorite. Mrs. Greene sent them to the restaurants:)
First grade is beginning a new Knowledge unit on Animals and Habitats. Mrs. Phillips' class enjoyed the beautiful weather while searching for plants and animals that use our playground for their habitat.
3rd graders in Mrs. Patterson's class have been learning about the distributive property of multiplication - how to break apart larger multiplication facts into smaller ones. We have been modeling this with arrays & splitting them with popsicle sticks to visualize how this works.
Students in Mrs. Graf’s 5th grade class built a tower using selected materials, tracked the amount of matter in the tower components, & considered how it would withstand the force of wind. They researched, designed, tested & evaluated, & reflected. All of the towers stayed tall!
Major Green and Lieutenant Fundermann from the Civil Air Patrol visited Mrs. Ebling's class on Friday. Students got to hold items to see the planets to scale and learned where their orbits would be in relation to our school and town. They also constructed and launched rockets!!
